Islam is the only religion which allows birth control.
Because, someone pointed that while sending people to Africa will eventually exposing them to Aids. But its not the case, our people are brought up in a complete different society and set of values which makes us different.
I know you will start another kind of debate here which i like to avoid.
all the rest dont??...
Islam is the only religion which allows birth control.
I cant say about Hiduism as it has not clear cut instruction.
All other religion (Islam does recognize them as came from God) came to existence at a time when very existence of human kind was in danger due to very low life expectancy. So birth control was discouraged. In christianity/Judaism its band. Buddhism consider it as killing and so on and so forth...
In Islam it was instructed to not to take children if you are unbable to bear them. It did not advocate for more and more children either.. There is nothing more it says regarding to this subject matter. As there is an instruction so people take it as allowed.
Was it Zakira or was it Zafran, who said Islam is not a religion but a Deen to a post by Zabanya?
Everything to live life is ordained in the Quaran or the Hadith and so it is Deen (a way of Life)
While I know about 'azl , I don't think the use of condom has been mentioned in the Islamic scriptures even though the use of condoms has been traced back several thousand years. It is believed that around 1000 BC the ancient Egyptians used a linen sheath for protection against disease.
(Youssef (1993), 'The history of the condom' Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine 86(4).)
Since everything that is to be known and practised has been ordained in the Islamic scriptures, it will be nice if you could quote the specific paragraphs of the book in which it is written.
In Hinduism, not that I know, there is any restrictions imposed on sex, but then I am not too well versed in Hinduism. Though I was told that the carving in Khajuraho was because there was a rapid decline in population in Budlekhand and hence the message was in the form of the carving since paper was not discovered (or widely used) and since all were not literate, The interpreting sculptures, they told me was no rocket science and so the unlettered too could imbibe. A picture tells a 1000 words as they say.
In Buddhism, while you are right that killing is not encouraged, yet nothing on sex for procreation or otherwise or prevention of unwanted birth has been mentioned to the best of my knowledge,
I don't want to appear obtuse, but it is a comfortable feeling when one knows from where a certain issue is substantiated. Therefore, I sure would appreciate the verse or paragraph from the Islamic scriptures being informed so that I am educated.
Islam is the only religion which allows birth control.
Well as you know az-l that should answer your question. The question is allowed or not allowed, method is irrelevant. It is allowed so you pick your own method. Islam was not Kamasutra ..
At the time of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the Sahabah were not too shy to ask about all affairs, including sexual matters, so as to know the teachings of Islam in these matters. As Aisha (ra), the wife of the Prophet testified, "Blessed are the women of the Ansar. Shyness did not stand in their way of seeking knowledge about their religion." (Agreed upon).
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "There is no shyness in matters of religion." We often receive questions about these matters at Zawaj.com, usually from married couples who want to know what is permissible.
It is an Islamic site.
Sex in Islam
I don't know if you are married or not, but then 'azl or interrupted coitus can lead to disease because it is 'unsafe sex'.
Now, if it does lead to disease, then your contention that Bangladeshis are not Africans (meaning that Africans get AIDS because of unsafe sex) falls flat on the face.
Condom prevents disease. But then condom is not mentioned in any of the Islamic scriptures.
True, Islam is not Kamasutra but then I can quote many issues from the Hadith various issue concerning the act of sex and some could say that it is a lukewarm version of kamasutra.
This may help to teach you to not take sex (be it Kamasutra or Islamic tenets) as a taboo or as a matter of act of lewd excitement:
The link would also be a good guide for you to have a very happy and fulfilling married life.
Lastly, please do not take snide swipes at other religions unless you are find pleasure to be given it right back and with a bonus!
Mann.. you have a holy spirit of digging into Islam. You should stop watching Naik, rather as you are a Bengali should watch some of the Bangladeshi Channels where Islam is taught in a very simple manner.
Islam is not as rigid as you guys think rahter it is most flexible. It is rigid only in the case of Haram/Halal and Farz.
1) Haram is something prohibited. There is a clear cut instruction not to do. Drinking, Eating Pigs etc.
2) Halal is allowed. And you are free to do. Like getting married to your cousin is Halal or allowed.
3) Farz you are bound to do. Salat/Siam/Jakat/Hajj. These are Farz. You have to do.
Other than these, there are some instruction from Hadith which was faced by Prophet (PBU) in real life and came up with solutions. You can take them as guideline and are safe to do.
Then it comes to all other complex issues which you may face in todays life or in the future. Islam also talked about those.
Islam says two types thing which should or should not be allowed for a muslim.
1) The first categories are those, which requires anybodys day to day work which are allowed until you find somewhere it is prohibited. You are free to do.
2) Second categories are those, which are not allowed until you find somewhere it is allowed in Islam.
Birth Control falls into second category. So people look aroud and see whether they could find somewhere it can be allowed and they found. It is a necessity in todays reality. So all the hard work.
Az-l was a method which was available at that time or known to Mohammed that time. Not sure whether he was aware of the Egyptian linen method. Anyways its irrelevant now as we have far better way to do that. I am not married but most of my friends just follow their wife' maneustral cycle and does not require them to use condoms more than 2/3 intercourse a month. They are hppier than you i suppose.
No youi willl not be banned for talking about Islam. In none of the Islamic forum unless you troll intentionally. That I can guarantee...
It gives an opportunity to Islam to clear any confusion and detail explaintion.
Now a days I am busy for my final thesis writing and presentation. So i wont be here much. But request to bd members do not feed the bharti trolls those who are here as a paid agent for this purpose. Do not go in to discussion with them as nothing is gonna please these bhartis.
This has nothing to do with India, bharti trolls? dude your starting the trolling what is wrong with you.
For how long you have been here and know this bhartis???? Or you want me to open a new thread to say this??? Most of the bangladeshis are aware of this bhartis... So check facts before posting foolish stuff...You are here for only one month or so... stay here for some time then you will be able to know this bhartis more better...
