Bangladeshi farmers to plough barren African lands

Hope they don't get infected. If some farmer starts looking for
cheap fun, then thats mayday for BD.

You always think ahead. If they follow your thought then it will be disastrous from every angle.

nForce,

I think that there are provisos that ensure that the produce is ploughed back to the mother country.

In fact, I had queried if some of the produce would be sold to the locals. There were farms being set up in Somalia and Ethiopia. It is well known that owing to wrong agricultural modes they (Somalia and Ethiopia) were repeatedly visited by famine. Therefore, in fitness of things, even if the country was paid for their land usage, it would be appropriate as human beings to share a part of the produce with the locals, as also teach them modern agricultural techniques.

It would be nice to have such provisions indeed.I stumbled upon this piece of news before. No fixed policy for keeping a part of the product for the domestic market was a highlight. Its good,if the situation has changed.
these African regions are among the most famine stricken regions in the World. It would be pure and simple exploitation if nothing goes to the locals.
the companies will be there to make profit.they must be forced to do something about welfare of the region.
A unique case comes to my mind.-
Cocacola had just come to India. They made factories in Punjab, and were drawing a large amount of ground water for producing soft drinks. So Punjab government decided to levy extra tax on Cocacola, which will directly go for development of the state.

Well I do hope I'm wrong but human psychology is quite weird . BD farmers are well respectable and good hearted people. My point is if the right people are sent then there will be no problems but in this country everything is politicized from the very beginning. Heck anyways its an interesting concept better to let the balls roll then never.
Maybe from the next year we would see African Mango :P.

Does anyone know how much good will it bring for Africans? We really shouldn walk the path of corporate vampires.

There is another angle to it. Government is getting paid a fixed percentage. So it is generating income for the government. More employment, more business opportunity and I belive there will not be any famine within 10-20 miles of the farm. When we are sending 150,000 workers there who will be getting paid by Bangladesh (not Tanzania) will definitely create a huge market and Tanzanians will be there to sell.

Very Munafiq!

I don't think Muslims will think of, let alone do, such sins.

They never do!

The very idea is haram.

All goodie goodie...cannot agree any more...Bangladesh too has a large population and a huge workforce. It will create a lot employment opportunities.

I think he means Africans don't use condoms and that they are unsafe sex being the best types.

But then I did see a Discovery Channel show and it showed that the Africans are very aware of condoms and use it.

In fact, even the Pope has given up trying to impress all that condoms is Anti Life!

In Islam 'azl or the withdrawal method is OK, though some ulama (scholars), find it to be makruh .

Condoms, well it came later, and so there is nothing written that permits or disallows as far as I know.

But then it is better to ask Al Zakira or was it Zafran who said everything that is done in life and should be known has been ordained.

Islam is the only religion which allows birth control.

you are not. But why do you have to point that out.
Did you mean africans dont know how to use condom. Please read your post again.

Because, someone pointed that while sending people to Africa will eventually exposing them to Aids. But its not the case, our people are brought up in a complete different society and set of values which makes us different.
I know you will start another kind of debate here which i like to avoid.
