Bangladesh is not giving land to India for the airport

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina did not respond to a proposal to give India land to expand the airport at Agartala. Instead, she assured that initiatives would be taken to get the services of Cox's Bazar, Chittagong airport, Tripura State.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said this while inaugurating the two-day Indo-Bangladesh Tourism Festival at Ujjayant Palace in Agartala on Thursday (February 20th).

Tripura Chief Minister Biplob Kumar Dev said, "When I met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Delhi in October, I wished to have a flight from Dhaka to Agartala. As I said, Agartala Airport is bordered on one side, so Bangladesh-India can use the same airport to expand the airport. Give some places in Bangladesh, it will become terminal.

The Prime Minister also expressed the hope that the people of Tripura will surely see the world's longest beach in Cox's Bazar once the Feni river is bridged.

Biplob Kumar said the Bangladesh Prime Minister had assured that if Bangladesh bought a new aircraft in front, it would give an Agartala route.

5th largest economy and the newest Superpower should not have any problem building a new airport away from the border.
