@Slav Defence
The other day I messaged you about some users using vulgar language and you asked me to report. He is report. Thanks.
I totally agree with the facts you have mentioned in your post.Lolll..
A foreigner teaching a Pakistani on a Pakistani forum what to write..
Go fvck yourself..
I will write whatever I want....
Bangladesh is having sham elections for the following reasons:
1 - Most of the opposition leadership has been jailed.. they don't have the right to vote..
2 - 70,000 voters from opposition are jailed.
3 - 3G and 4G networks are taken down
4 - Army is fully supporting AL
It's a selection not an election.. loll
But mate..he is right on this that these elections are sham and would have no value because all the opposition is in jail and international observers have not been allowed. So definitely these electio has no value. It's not your forum. You can say whatever fvck you want but nobody gives a flying fvck about your so called opinion. know your place.

Dude, our prisons already contain twice the number of prisons than it is supposed to hold. They would not be able to imprison 70K even if they wanted. At most one or two thousands have been arrested.1 - 70000 opposition workers have been jailed
Only Khaleda Zia is in Jail. She was arrested much before the election was even announced. Other opposition leaders have cast their votes and complained/expressed doubts about things.2 - Most of the opposition leadership is in jail
It seems they have blocked 3G/4G networks. But 2G mobile internet services and broadband services are running. Freedom of speech is fine...at least as good as before. Opposition leaders complained in front of media without any trouble.3 - Curb on internet and freedom of speech
Army haven't been called into action yet. Police handling things for now.4 - Bangla Army fully supporting AL..
Well army is neutral here. They will not move an inch before the call of civil administration. And civil administration will only call army when others will be failed. Our army is very much obedient to our constitution, and they will not move by themselves until outer country is under threat from outsiders.4 - Bangla Army fully supporting AL..
@Slav Defence
can you please ban the word butthurt, butt-hurt etc...
Well, everything fails when it comes to the caretaker setup which is not independent..Dude, our prisons already contain twice the number of prisons than it is supposed to hold. They would not be able to imprison 70K even if they wanted. At most one or two thousands have been arrested.

Well, everything fails when it comes to the caretaker setup which is not independent..
In Pakistan, we are not the perfect democracy, but we are reaching there at a fast pace... we not only have a caretaker setup, but most of the time, the bureaucracy is moved from one province to other for a few months before elections..
Our election commission is selected by both ruling as well as opposition parties..
There is a reason the world has witnessed PPP (2008-2013) PMLN (2013-2018) and now PTI (2018 - )
No party could influence the elections even if they promoted their own favorite bureaucrats to important positions.
We lacked independence in judiciary, but 2010 onwards, we have seen very powerful judiciary.. which ousted a sitting PM who had almost 2/3rd majority..
Pakistan is not the same as what you saw till 2008.. It has changed quite a bit, towards betterment..
I have learnt one thing from Imran Khan (our PM), that progress comes when the institutions become powerful and independent.. so we are correcting things one by one.. you have a very good progress, but your institutions are becoming weaker.. This progress may not be sustainable to be honest.. because when in countries with large populations, democratic institutions become weak, corruption comes along and infects the government first..
You can't compare India with China..You have made a good point about strong institutions.
Problem is that democracy and development are not really compatible.
Look at where India is now compared to China. Granted the multi-ethnic nature of India has also played a part as well in lack of Indian economic development.
BD probably needs between 10-15 more years when it will be ready for real democracy.
AL will win easily now and it will be interesting to see what they start doing as regards the institutions during the new tenure.
Do you think they will throw the ordinance of abolishing caretaker setup and install independent election commission? No my friend..AL will win easily now and it will be interesting to see what they start doing as regards the institutions during the new tenure.
They do not know Bangla and they have no idea who are BNP polling agents LOL. So there is no way for them to find the election engineering ! However vote ends in 4 pm .
You can't compare India with China..
Indians institutions aren't strong as well.. There is corruption from top to bottom. India, as far as remember, tops the most corrupt asian countries' list.
We were sailing with them until very recently.. when we realized that corruption is now threatening the very existence of Pakistan..
Democracy is not just free and fair elections, it is the institutions that work above government. For example, we have National Accountability Bureau.. The moment it has come out of the clutches of government, an across the board process of accountability has started.. Now I have heard that they are about to arrest three sitting ministers..
Democracy without independent accountability is not a democracy.. sadly, all the countries in the region have been plagued by this problem..
So whatever progress you are witnessing today, may not last... We have been through these kind of eras before.. but ultimately when a person becomes a dictator (whether through democracy), he turns to evil eventually..
Take an example of Musharraf.. we were progressing at a fast pace in his era, but in the last couple of years, he started thinking himself as all powerful king.. and then he gave us a National Reconciliation Ordinance which gave pardon to the corrupt people.. from 2008-2017, we suffered from these crooks.. but good thing is that somehow we managed to bring independence in our judiciary, election commission and accountability institutions.. and now we are satisfied even if we haven't still started progressing like you guys are doing..
It will take time, some more years maybe, but eventually the progress will come along in shaa Allah..
Do you think they will throw the ordinance of abolishing caretaker setup and install independent election commission? No my friend..
Haseena Wajid has reached that place where your bureaucrats will be afraid of taking any action against her.. your judiciary will depend on bureaucracy for information, which it will never get.. slowly, you will lose oversight.. and that's it.. and then there will be a new era of corruption.. and then revolution..
See it's a cycle.. you guys need to think about it.. we have gone through this hell... I hope that everything will be ok, but history tells us otherwise..
I hope you are happy now sir . Or want 10 years ?Trying to compare BD, a unitary state that is a world economic star now, with multi-ethnic Pakistan is incorrect to start off with.
BD territorial integrity cannot be under any threat as nearly everyone is Bengali Muslim.
Despite the fact it started independence 24 years after Pakistan, it has now surpassed Pakistan in GDP per capita and this is growing at 7% a year, while Pakistan is predicted to be 4% this year. Most organisations predict a steady decline in per capita growth in Pakistan over the next 5 years as well while BD holds steady.
There is simply no comparison to be made between the 2 countries.
