I don't think it is impossible for IT exports to go up by 100 million in 4 months. Unlike GDP figures, export/import figures are easier to verify thanks to paper trail in the banking channel - someone will blow the whistle anonymously if ministers start making up numbers. Also, BBS has no involvement with these figures.

Besides, $5 billion export by 30 million IT workers would be nothing extraordinary.

Not at this time, don't think so.

PayPal does exist, but you can only use PayPal to pay someone IN Bangladesh for services or just to transfer money (XOOM, a subsidiary of PayPal). But not use PayPal to buy something FROM Bangladesh using Bangladesh currency.

However there are other services one can use locally or internationally FROM Bangladesh like Google Pay etc.

That is not a good argument to make. There maybe multiple mid sized firms earning in few million USDs. There would be freelancers- i.e. understand there are many from all the three countries. Then there would be MNCs having captive units in BD.

The per head revenue generation may be low for a freelancer heavy workforce for now but once major investments start pouring in, the revenue would multiply in no time.

Unfortunately international cards are expensive to maintain for the commoner here due to fees.
Usage is mostly limited among the upper middle and upper classes.

Yes but the process is too slow which discourages clients from hiring Bangladeshi providers. We badly need an instant international payment platform like PayPal.
