And also it hasn't been made official that we are getting Mig-29, it was a suggestion, I assume SU's are the best for bangladesh for now, thanks.

Shouldn't you be talking about economy than airforce???? What was your point here in this thread then??? Did you get any meaningful information on Bangladesh threat perception, strategy, vison, limitation etc. All that has been talked about here are wishful thinking. Is that is what you are for??

News about Bangladesh's forces are not as easy to find, and are not usually projected to the media as often as most other nations. Wishful thinking is all we've got Even though news about our navy has been easier to find these days since it is being given a lot of attention to protect our interests in the Bay of Bengal. There's also BDMilitary as a source of news about Bdesh's forces but it's not very trusted by some members for various reasons, so its better not to discuss info from there to avoid arguements.

it has only 2 neighbors - India and Myanmar, neither has anything to gain by a war against BD, infact relations between BD and India are improving day by day.

and Myanmar isnt in any shape to be fighting a war

Well, going by what your saying, we won't have any discussions about defence related issues. idune, we hardly ever get any solid news about defence related things that have to do with Bdesh, what else do we have to talk about other than these "wishes" when we lack good sources for military info?

Just not having any news is not reason enough to have "wish list" thread. Rather shouldn't you ask why there is no REAL defense vision, strategy and steps? Better yet shouldn't you ask govt that is not defending our citizens in the boarder, what really will they do for defense of Bangladesh sky? Asking people to look at sky when we are getting killed on the ground will do zip, nada for understanding of REAL defense of Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh defense is NOT confine to only military means. Unfortunately, we are put in a situation to defend our economy, livelyhood, culture and reiligion; all of which are under attack.

These are just food for thought. And if you want to start defense discussion that will be the starting point.
