Balance Of Air Power In South Asia

Dude Japan has no desire for war, or even to aggressively pursue its interests. Burden that with an ageing population, poor growth and the fact the Japanese need to modernise and build their land and air arms, the last thing they will do is join a war. They already went down that route and it didn't end well. I was shocked to see they have lowest percentage of young folk who are willing to fight for their country.
The Philippines? Duterte has just finished his "turning point" visit to China, that's the end of that.
Vietnam will fight to protect territorial sovereignty, not join a collation of countries against the Chinese. Do remember they share a large land border and will have to forever worry about when everyone else either tires out or walks away from the war.
The US, yes you have a point but public opinion now wants disengagement with the whole world police thing. Why do you think Trump has had such a good run? Hilary will probably be the last of the hawks who wants to take it to various countries, the US public simply does not want the commitment of its sons and resources to parts of the world which do not effect the US directly.
About the USA, you're dead right. No matter who's running the next administration, public (read white folks) opinion can't be ignored be it immigration, economic or foreign policies. Currently they feel like being taken for a joy ride. It's not a good scene to enjoy when the white folks feel financially insecured. Remember "Kristallnacht"...

there are categories in weapons systems that you lead and certain categories that Pakistan leads in; it is tiling in favour of the IAF especially in BVR and now more so in the stand off weapons arena where Pakistan held a clear edge since 1999.
Can you shed some more light on this portion? o_O

Three weeks ago In another thread you where advocating buying Russian flankers as you Felt the current single engined paf fleet lacked range and payload.

Make your mind up bro

I can tell you now Pakistan will never be I. S position to buy a rafale or typhoon type of costly fighter in the next ten years. That also includes flankers.

A token number of new falcons could happen if you can persuade uncle Sam to give resume grant aid.

Otherwise it's used falcons and thunders
Apples and Oranges, I'm the last person who would advocate the Flankers, in fact i have never positively contributed to all the talk of SU-35.......indeed PAF could do with a heavy fighter but I'm not sure if something as big as the SU-35 fits the bill.
As i said, PAF would have something to counter the Rafale in five years time so just watch this space.

BS. The attack in 2008 was not done because the probability of success versus the losses incurred was taken as too high, in addition; the idea that the attack would not lead to an all out conflict was also clearly broadcasted to the Indian government. Finally, the United States stepped in to signal the need for Pakistan's security during the WoT and Afghan ops reaching a critical phase.

The rest is also self fellatio; there are categories in weapons systems that you lead and certain categories that Pakistan leads in; it is tiling in favour of the IAF especially in BVR and now more so in the stand off weapons arena where Pakistan held a clear edge since 1999.

India fought wars taking losses, both in terms of man and machines.

It is always economy, which was/is growing at best figures in the world. A war is a short term deal whereas economic growth will itself defeat Pakistan in future.

In modern warfare, it's not just the military assets that are targeted, there's also a sustained effort to hit the telecommunication centres and economic zones, be sure that any India and Pakistan war will be both bloody and dirty.

Man are you really joker or what. :omghaha:
Looks like both india and pakistani airforce report to you.
Lying on internet is not a crime but atleast lie convincingly. :haha:
We know who the clown is here, don't talk about subjects which are beyond your comprehension.....most in that case. :pleasantry:

you are right, you are way ahead of us in terms of economy.but what do you think Pakistan will never respond your rafele deal or will not procure any air craft. you indians lives in fools paradise. we would also procure any modern craft in near future and scenario will not be easy for you whether you have rafale.

@Windjammer would it be possible for our JF-17s to take part in exercises such as Anatolian Eagle, Red Flag etc in the future? Is there any set of technologies that we would first have to acquire? And would they be available to us?

The likes of US would dearly like to check out the capabilities of the JF-17 as they try whenever they get an opportunity, albeit some reports suggest it requires some certain parameters but others say differently.

You false flag Indians do like to express your self but make little impt, you never stop blabbering about your coffers being full yet how long has your MMRCA deal been on a roller coaster, even then the overall number has been reduced to one third of the original requirement. By the time the Rafales are in strength in five years time, PAF would have a counter in place.
You should be more concerned about the present situation where even our JF-17 is picking off your top of the line fighters before they detect the smaller jet. Just ask IAF in recent weeks how many times they had to leave the are for getting locked by the JF-17....much to the frustration of PAF pilots since they are not cleared to shoot.

Yes i agree, jf 17 is ultimate weapon until next century.. balance tilted towards pakistan, since the induction of jf-17.. i guess jf 17 locked hundreds of time.. even these jets are on ground, jf 17 able to pick from hundreds of miles away.. happy..

WOW thanks! Let's see, an F-15 armed with Sidewinder and AMRAAM? JF-17 is Block 1 (no inflight refuelling pipe on the right) unarmed?

I can see you are being tight-lipped so I won't drill for details :D

I don't think the Chinese will ever directly enter into any armed conflict with India they are pretty smart. They know it any war will set back their own economy by a decade. The strength they command right now in the international community is partly due to its millitary but it's because they have a robust economy and they'll do whatever it takes them to protect it.

So PAF is still looking for SU35 & the hopes are still alive. Apart from that, J20's are the probability for PAF which I am happy to hear. So it depends on when they are going to get inducted in PLAAF then PAF will decide accordingly & evaluate them. I am happy to hear that Mirages, PG's & F7 are all set to retire & hopefully they will get replaced by SU35 & J20's, INSHAALLAH. I also heard Air Marshall saying Mirage 2000's coming in, thats new & what is the status on that?
