Featured BAF to get high-performance fighter planes: PM

Better fly the tin cans we have now than poorly maintained Indian aircrafts.
The BAF flew horribly maintained ex-PAF F-6 aircraft
Maintaining those two engines sandwiched together in one fuselage with a single intake was a nightmare.
The Indian Air Force maintains its planes well which is why those Mirages are still flying.
The Mirage2000 is a much more maintenance friendly aircraft like its predecessor Mirage 3 and 5s.

Perhaps you’ve missed the recent crash videos...
Anyways... PAF f6s washed away in crates... I’ve seen 2-3 crates 10 years back with rusty fuselage

most of the population in abject poverty and cities disappearing into the ocean so Bangladesh gov't buys expensive jets in small numbers that they can barely maintain. Why? fear of Myanmar? forced to by their military or a foreign power?

You sir are delusional.......Bholari and Masroor are major PAF bases not FOB.....Its best not to discuss PAF in this thread....
Where am I disagreeing?
I never said these were FOBs ( Bholari in fact is a new base). I am simply saying that in the two front war (China Pakistan India coalition), the BAF is more likely to encounter F-7s due to PAFs priorities elsewhere. If the war happens 2 years from now PAF will have more JF-17s at its disposal and BAF will be facing these.
Repeating once more, BAFs participation will be symbolic. Unless the BAF has aircraft identical to its ally the IAF it will run out of spares, missiles and ammunition very quickly.

We are referring to Mirage 2000s.
Crashed videos are there of different types, mostly Mig 21s.

PAF no longer flies F-6s so this is irrelevant. BAF accepted, maintained and flew ex-PAF F-6s for years. What is more BAF is intensely proud of these ex-F-6s , and on one of my visits to Dhaka I saw one displayed on a roundabout, some where in Dhanmondi ( forget where exactly where).
Made me feel good.

From a purely defense analysis angle what is your technical argument against the ex-IAF Mirage 2000s
Balance the argument against a threat perception.

My argument is india won’t sell them when they’re in shortage of fighters themselves

Because nawaz gets a commission 😂

It serves more than one strategic purpose to have the trade with Myanmar than Bangladesh.

Tejas remains Bangladesh's best choice. The price is steep but India prioritizes Bangladesh.

Myanmar is preferred over Bangladesh for JF17.
Of course it is. There is no question of JF-17s now or ever...Our Bangladeshi guests seem to persist in the impossible.
Bangladesh is not buying any aircraft from Pakistan and nor is Pakistan selling any aircraft to Bangladesh. Even the JL-8 trainers with Bangladesh are the Chinese variants.
Myanmar is an important defense client for Pakistan.

The only country india can sell those to are Burma. I would like to see Burma dogfight themselves in civil war if Pakistan and india is not going to fight

This thread took a wrong turn somewhere.

Something is coming.

The PM said as much.

Realistic possiblities:

J-10, Typhoon, F-18, F-16, Rafale (The very fact that the French Defence Minister met with Hasina is significant)

Mig-35, Su-30 or Su-35 seem less likely.

Anything else is nonsense.
