Why is BAF buying F-7s? why not just go for JF-17, it would be a much better aircraft in comparison. Or they could have gone for the Russian Mig's or Su 30s. Most of the countries would be retiring the the aircraft based on the Mig 21 in the coming decade so why buy them even if they have been upgraded.

Are you on drugs? CAS and Mig-21? It's stall speed is too high, and neither got Laser designator (except Lancer upgrade) nor enough payload, nor it can sustain ground fire.

And at high angle of attacks, the air flow cuts off coz' of the nose mounted intake, thus reduced thrust.

200km! nah... that may be the radar range. Mostly BVR engagement is attainable below 100km and close to 75km would be effective. That's due to the limitations on the missile's on board radar and other relative factors.

Nope.. Some A2A missiles have a range of 120 km.. Giving range along with fighter.,.
Indian Astra a2a have a range of 80km.. the next process will be an 120km a2a...

BAF should have gone for JF-17.....and if bd govt. remains pro-india and after our needs are fulfilled i won't mind seeing Tejas with bd ( let the trolling begin)

bangladesh has that time 8mig-29 - 7 a-5 - 10 f7bg. total 25 fighter aircrafts so they buy it 16 more BGI. over and all its story

JF-17 is certainly better than F7.... But Bangladesh recently established a F-7 workshop. we can repair our f7 in BD, but have to send mig29 to Russia......... so judging platforms and other facilities, F7 is more feasible than J17... is it too difficult to understand for some idiots here???
