Joking aside the americans have so sanitised war that I wander how their forces would react if they had to face real hardship with an enemy lets say that had real weapons. if nothing else this blockade seems to have drawn attention to the luxuries i would say americans are used to.

The point is.. the US can (at least for now) afford to keeps its troops well fed and well equipped.
So any issues of morale are perplexing when they do surface from time to time..
Considering how well the troops are trained, the tech they use.. the facilities their FOB's hold.
incidents like Abu Ghuraib should not happen.
However, such is human flaw.

War is never fair.. to expect somebody to "fight the honorable war(to be read at fight at my level)" is stupid.
The objective of any military force is to give the quickest and most efficient defeat to another force.
The US military is admired for their quick and efficient tactical wins and even some admirable strategic gains.
They are however, extremely poor at managing insurgencies it seems.
