I do. I think this issue will be sorted out soon and the supplies through Pakistan will resume.

And I don't think fried chicken is the top of the priority list for anyone except some of you. The Talib arse is still being kicked hard, the drones are still flying.

I will speak only for myself.

My interest in Afghanistan is mainly to ensure it doesn't fall to the Taliban and again become a terror heaven.

It will be bad for Pakistan as it will fall to Islamic Shariah rule as well (I won't lose my sleep over that part) but it will be also bad for India. We saw increased terror in India the last time Taliban was ruling Afghanistan.

You can go speak up for indian interest in front of an indian audience, we don’t care about it.

afghansitan has to have pro-Pakistan government at best or at the least one that does not give space to our enemies ( which includes YOU! )
indian stratrgy in afghanistan for the past 10 years has been to hide in america's underwear and egg on the americans to make way for them in afghansitan ( without making any significant contribution to the American-led war effort )
America’s failure in this theatre of war therefore will be india’s nightmare and that’s why the pant crapping in the indian camp has already started.
As for the supplies, they will remain closed indefinitely ...we can’t feed a rabid dog only to have it bite us

I agree that we need to have peace in the region and good relations (or at least no active hostility and terror against the others).

In the short term, I have a different viewpoint from you.

I think if Taliban rules Afghanistan again, that is the worst thing that will happen to the region. The worst sufferers of that will be Afghans (non Pusthuns and women but even Pushtuns will be worse off).

It will surely have the effect of increasing the motivation of Taliban types in Pakistan and they may even come to power (however improbable you may think that is).

The only way to prevent that happening is that the Afghans are strong enough to defend themselves against the Taliban. That needs continuity of the NATO mission for some more time.

I hope you see that cutting one's nose to spite the face may not be wise if you really think of the interests of your own country and want to not see it Talibanized.

nato has ulterior motives and plans to for example possibly box in iran and hold chinese down and also to stop russian influence in my opinion

Unfortunately I don't share it. I think just some tens of thousands hardcore Islamists can rule Pakistan. They would face no real opposition, given their sympathizers in important places.

But I would love to be proved wrong and you proved right here.

Well lets see and not speculate. we were told 7 days about two weeks ago as well.

No chicks for americans whether it be food or other uses through pakistany supply routes

A Pakistani colleague based in China commented to this effect and he is pretty well connected in Pakistani circles.. But you are right.. I dont have a documentary backup to this.. Just that he has been right in his estimations about Pakistani responses most of the time..

I think americans have been pushing the boundaries to see howw far thy could go for a while. If they do biz again it will be within defined parameters
