i would rather PA have T-129 then super expensive AW-129 and T-129 already costs like 50+ million dollars.
i also really hope PAK-CHina are secretly working on their own medium attack helicopter in the line of JF-17!:agree:
AH-1F are getting old and absolute, they desperately need MLU.

why every thing between chaina pakistan secretly i thing thy have to work this openly .and show the world we are making a dangrus helly

.
i guss, to expensive! we should get new bird s with new directions?:agree:

noo.. PA should stick to AH-1 for long as possible! PA cant afford to lose these birds as it would be more cost effective to upgrade them then to induct 30-40+ million dollar chopper.

are you going to be serious or you are just gonna pass around sarcastic remarks? you think pakistan has enough money to full fill your wish lists like phasing out AH-1s and inducting AW-129s ASP?
please get serious "dude".:smokin:
not all AH-1 in PA are 25 years old, recently inducted onces have less hours clocked and in good condition. Pakistan military has a step by step transition to upgrade their fleet cost effectively.
P-3C --> P3-C Upgrade III.75
F-16 A/B ---> F-16 MLU M3
AH-1F ---> (if possible, they should be upgraded with Ah-1Z avionics)
FFG-7 ---> refurbished with minor upgrades

so you see... these war machines play crucial role for low budget military "pakistan" in indo-pak context. they will be used for stop measuring gap until more capable platform is available in 15-20 years. dont for get the prise tag, in F-16's case. much of WOT funds have been allocated for these upgrades so it will cost pakistan only 12-13 million dollars and the product will be a one cheap yet effective machine in block 52 standard! and mind you block 52 cost no less then 30-35 million dollars same with mirage-2005.
so yes its a great deal for pakistan.

leave guys all A B C D we go our friend chaina for this one
Z-10 Attack Helicopter

The Z-10 (Zhisheng-10, or Zhi-10) attack helicopter has been developed by Changhe Aircraft Industries Group (CAIG) and China Helicopter Research and Development Institute (CHRDI), both based in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. Another PRC helicopter manufacturer, Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HAMC), may have also involved in the development programme.

The Z-10 is thought to be in the same class as the Agusta A-129, South African Rooivalk, and German Tiger. Its primary mission is anti-armour and battlefield interdiction, with a secondary capability for air-to-air combat. The helicopter first flew on 29 April 2003. A small number of prototypes have been undergoing test and evaluation.

The PRC began to develop a dedicated attack helicopter in the mid-1990s. AVIC II, the parent company of CAIG and CHRDI, has been working with European partners on a common helicopter dynamic system, which can be used on both the proposed medium helicopter and the attack helicopter. However, no foreign firm has been directly involved in the Z-10 development.

The helicopter is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67C turboshaft engines. The PRC will need to obtain the engine production license, or develop an alternative engine before the serial production of the helicopter can begin.

Design

Internet source photos revealed that the Z-10 has a conventional attack helicopter layout, with the pilot and weapons operator seated in tandem, stepped cockpits. The helicopter has a five-blade main rotor and a four-blade tail rotor. Two engines are podded to the helicopter just to the rear of the cockpit. The fuselage has a sloped side to reduce its radar cross section (RCS), and is slender and tapered to the rear, with fixed landing gear. The tail boom tapers to the rear, with a high, swept-back fin with square tip. The flats are unequally tapered with a square tip, while the belly fin has the rear landing wheel attached. The tail rotor is mounted on the right side.

The helicopter is thought to be fitted with a ‘fly-by-wire‘ (FBW) control system, and a modern glass cockpit with multifunctional display (MFD) screens. The helicopter crew may also be equipped with a helmet-mounted sight (HMS) for head-up display of information and weapon control.

Weapons
The helicopter is fitted with a cannon (23mm?) mounted under the nose. Two stub wings provide four stores stations for external ordinance. A new-generation anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) HJ-10 is currently in development. The missile is thought to be comparable to the U.S. AGM-114 Hellfire. The helicopter can carry up to eight missiles under the stub wings for anti-armour role. Alternatively, the helicopter can carry unguided rocket pods for ground attack, or TY-90 short-range air-to-air missiles for air combat.

Electronic Equipments

An observation unit consisting of a forward looking infrared (FLIR) and a low-light television is mounted on a steerable platform at the nose of the helicopter. The electronic countermeasures (ECM) suite consists of radar warning receiver (RWR), laser warning receiver, infrared jammer and chaff / flare decoy dispenser.

Engines
The Z-10 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67C turboshaft engines with Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). The engines have a maximum continuous power of 1,531hp (1,142kw) each.

"DUDE" still you dont get to the my point?
btw its your wish list, not mine ! AH-1F ---> (if possible, they should be upgraded with Ah-1Z avionics)
most of "AH-1F" are old enough, to carry out more missions in thew comming future, IS that right, we keep spending our money on old, birds like "AH-1F" ?
F-16s become , a "holy cow" to pakistanis, who cant see any other , plateform, check out our enemy! which have a lot of different kind of mixed plateforms?
also, who said to you , i am saying to dump all "AH-1F" , what we have!
all i said , is we should start looking for some other plateforms like "AW129 Multi-Role Combat Helicopters", let me inform you that , surly it wont cost as you had thinked over, (12-13 million dollars ), plz stop thinking about that my! dear "DUDE", CHECK IT OUT frist, then open it ?
any how, comming US adminstration is thinking to attack pakistan, and "CANDY DUDES" like you , still keep thinking about the old days!
Wake up "CANDY DUDE", so in comming future, pakistan have to look forward, not only just "CHINESE PLATEFORMS" but other systems from countries like ITALY, slowly we have to shift our , reliance on USA!
for very reason , we have to get some "EUROPEAN" air combat systems, like
"AW129 "because, there would not be many options, once we getout of US burning train, from "EUROPE", ONLY ITALY OR FRANCE, could be our new main hitech , militry suppliers? MY DEAR "CANDY DUDE" HOPE YOU GET N THE POINT?:smitten:;)
