Avalanche traps about 150 Pakistani soldiers

..........
Meanwhile during physical inspection of the area, some equipment was found..............

This may be an indication that the recovery operation is close to the area where remains may be found. I am sure they must be proceeding with extreme care to ensure respect.

What is the update on this?

Still they have not been able to reach the soldiers ?

Will it not be a good idea to just fence off the area and declare a war memorial or something of that sort.
l

Wtf how is it a war memorial?? Its a natural calamity. How come calamities like earthquakes and avalanche be equal to war?

Memorial ok. War memorial not ok.

do understand that alive or dead, the work will continue.......families want their dead back, and the comrades of those martyred will see to it that this is what happens....even if they have to bring down the damn area to find them

zulficaar that is a very very hard thing to achieve in short term of few weeks. Given that the sheer volume of rubble and snow is billions of tonnes. It will take many more months or even years to dig aside that much volume of rocks and ice imo.

Better to leave the dead ones rest in pieace at that place.

Some islamic rituials may be performed to please the relatives so that they too are relieved of anxiousness. And sort of proper islamic mass burial takes place so why not do it. I compltelyn agree with vcheng sirs view on this JMT.

Excavation work has resumed its full pace despite difficulties posed by seepage of the water at the sites, hazards of crevasses / cutting by water and sinking effects for plant equipment.

To the contrary all Pakistan affairs are handled and commented by US generals.
Apparently, US foreign minister is avoiding to confront Pakistani foreign minister, for unknown reasons.
