Australian Defence Minister says no to Pakistan

We never asked Australia to sell us Uranium. What's the fuss about? India asked them, and they sold it to them. The world of Uranium enrichment doesn't end with Australia.

Though a formal request was not made, the Pakistani high commissioner asked Australia to consider Uranium export to Pakistan.Link

Oh Hell NOOOOOOOOO, we are going to die without the uranium from Australia ,that is so crutial for us .:D

It ur property use it in a way u like we have a right to ask and we did , Australia have the right to accept or deny it , they denied it so what world doesnt stop there .

btw Indian congratz on getting uranium from Australia.................Best of LUCk u guys. :D

Another thread to justify certain egos here. We all know that Australia isnt going to sell Uranium to Pakistan unless Big Daddy says so. The question arises has Pakistan even asked for Australian Uranium? When we talk about a similar treatment that means getting access to the nuclear supplier group as a whole.
So the Australians can drop this act of pleasing Indians.

Here comes the influence of U.S.
one thing more, pakistan cant get imf aid without the phone call of hillary clinton;)

Actually more important is the fact of it being a failed state run by a dictator with Army playing Honor Polo in the background. Obvious that is a heady mix of danger to the world. But Zimbawe is goot at least in terms that it has not allowed terrorism schools on its soil though. That is a positive. But still cannot trust them with the Uranium. On top, can such a country even pay for it? Or will it be asked as aid to make sure that the world remains safe? So many questions..

Since when does the US care about dictators or democracy?

However, the US has explicitly stated that they will facilitate India's entry into a number of institutions, as well as promoting India as a counter to China.

Why sell uranium to only India, Pakistan asks Australia - The Economic Times

India asked them, and they sold it to them

Pakistan asked them and they refused

Isnt it obvious? Pakistan is going to raise the issue because thats plain duplicity on part of these nations including the US.
We are very well aware of the fact that Australia isnt going to sale anything yet alone Uranium to Pakistan, and that is exactly our point and the reason why we continue to block any progress on FMCT.

Isnt it obvious how things work at international level. You need something from them and they need something from you. Why is it that when it comes to Pakistan, you make it sound as if its illegal or something which India would not do.

I fail to see the duplicity
"India brought itself under the governance of the international nuclear regulators, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Nuclear Suppliers Group," Smith said.

"That has not occurred with Pakistan. There has never been a suggestion of (nuclear) proliferation from India," he said adding, "Regrettably, over preceding years, there have been serious concerns about proliferation from Pakistan."

I will concede though, OZs will do what is in their best interest. At present, it is better for them to align with India instead of PK. But that is always subject to change.

Of course you don't see the duplicity because the beneficiary on the other hand is India. So i don't expect you to see. India like Pakistan is not a signatory of anything which makes it no better then Pakistan for any waiver yet there India is with one. So by all standards its duplicity on the part of these nations not India because India is doing whats in its interests and getting the best out of it. Hope you get my point.
