অভিজিত রায়ের হত্যাকারীরা বাইরে থেকে আসেনি, তাদের অবস্থান ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ভেতরেই বলে দাবি ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশ কমিশনার আছাদুজ্জামান মিঞার। গত শুক্রবার যুগান্তর পত্রিকাকে দেয়া সাক্ষাতকারে তিনি বলেন, ‘যারা চাকু-ছুরি নিয়ে হত্যা করতে এসেছিল তারা কেউ বাইরে থেকে আসেনি। এটা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কেন্দ্রিক।’ ‘আনসার বাংলা সেভেন’-এর নামে টুইট বার্তার বিষয়ে কমিশনার বলেন, ‘আমাদের তদন্ত ভিন্ন খাতে নেয়ার জন্য এটা তাদের কৌশল হতে পারে। কারা জড়িত তা আমরা খতিয়ে দেখছি।’ একই সাথে পত্রিকাটি প্রত্যক্ষ্যদর্শীর বরাত দিয়ে বলেছে, হত্যাকান্ডের শুরুর আগে অথবা আপশপাশের আলো নিভিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। (সূত্র:কিলিং মিশনে দুই পেশাদার

প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে, বর্তমানে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কাদের দখলে? কারা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করছে হল ও ক্যাম্পাস? সোহরাওয়ার্দী উদ্যান, পলাশী মোড়, নীলক্ষেত, আনন্দ বাজার, চাংখারপুল এসব এলাকায় কাদের আধিপত্য? অবশ্যই ছাত্রদল বা অন্য কোন ছাত্র সংগঠন না। তাহলে এখানে জঙ্গীরা কোথা থেকে এসে আখঁড়া গড়লো? নাকি সরকার দলীয় ছাত্র সংগঠনের মধ্য থেকেই জঙ্গী তৈরি হচ্ছে? এটা একটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রশ্ন?

যারা কোন কিছু না বুঝেই ইসলামী জঙ্গি বা আনসার-ফানসার হত্যা করেছে বলে মুখে ফেনা তুলতাছে তাদের তো আমার কাছে বেকুব ছাড়া অন্য কিছু মনে হয়না। এতো সরল চিন্তার এরা। ঘটনা ঘটনার আগেই ভাডির্ক (রায়) দিয়ে দেয় তারা। আর ফেইসবুকে হুমকি দামকির কোন বেল নাই। এ জন্য এটা নিয়ে আমি কথা বলতে চাইনা। যাই হোক, অভিজিত হত্যার পুরো ঘটনার পেছনে সরকারের সম্পৃক্ততা উড়িয়ে দেয়া যায়না। অনেকগুলো বিষয় সামনে আনলে বিয়টি আরো পরিস্কার হবে:

প্রথমত, বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান রাজনৈতিক প্রেক্ষাপটে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মতো এলাকায় কঠোর নিরাপত্তা বেষ্টনী ভেদ করে ৫ মিনিট সময় নিয়ে ঠান্ডা মাথায় চাপাতি দিয়ে কুপিয়ে কারো মৃত্যু নিশ্চিত করে চলে যাওয়া কোন ব্যক্তি বা গোষ্ঠীর পক্ষে সম্ভব না। হত্যার যে বর্ণনা দেয়া হয়েছে, তাতে বলা হয়েছে এতে অনেক প্রশিক্ষিতরা অংশ নিয়েছে। গত ৬ বছর ধরে যেখানে সারাদেশে বিরোধীদের হত্যা, গুম, জেলসহ বিভিন্ন মাধ্যমে দমন-নিপীড়ন করে শেষ করে দেয়া হচ্ছে, এর মধ্য দিয়ে জঙ্গী উৎপাদন হবে সেটা তুঘলকি ঘটনা ছাড়া অন্য কিছুনা।

দ্বিতীয়ত, অবৈধ উপায়ে ক্ষমতা আকড়ে থাকা বর্তমান সরকার দেশী ও আর্ন্তজাতিক চাপে অনেকটা নাজেহাল। মুখে মুখে সরকার "উত্তর পাড়া" কে যতই থোরাই জ্ঞান করার কথা বলুক না কেন, তারা ভাল করেই জানে, রাষ্ট্র ক্ষমতায় টিকে থাকতে হলে "উত্তর পাড়া" কে আমলে নিতে হবে। তাদের বুঝাতে হবে, বাংলাদেশে জঙ্গীবাদ ও ধর্মীয় উগ্রবাদ মাথাচারা দিয়ে উঠছে এবং সরকার তা দমনে কাজ করছে। এ ক্ষেত্রে মুক্তচিন্তার কোন ব্যক্তির র্দুবৃত্তের/মৌলবাদিদের হাতে খুন হয়েছে বলে প্রচারণা চালানো গেলে সহজেই আর্ন্তজাতিক সম্প্রদায়ের অনুকম্পা অজর্ন করা যাবে। যা ভোটহীন সরকারকে ক্ষমতাকে টিকে থাকার রসদ যোগাবে।

তৃতীয়ত, তদন্ত শুরু ও শেষ হওয়ার আগেই অভিজিত যেখানে হত্যা হয়েছে সে স্পটটি ধুয়ে মুছে ছাপ করে দেয়া হয়েছে। মানে এখন কোন আলমত নেই। প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে, যদি আলামত না থাকে তাহলে তদন্ত হবে কিসের ভিত্তিতে? যুগান্তরের রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ি, হত্যাকান্ডের শুরুর আগে অথবা আপশপাশের আলো নিভিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। এখানে প্রশ্ন জাগে, যেখানে ২ গজ পর পর নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর টহল সেখানে কি করে আলো নিভিয়ে দেয়া হয়??

চতুর্থত, অনেকে অভিজিতের হত্যাকান্ডের ঘটনার সাথে হুমায়ুন আজাদের ঘটনা মেলান। কিন্তু তারা একবারে ভাবেননা ২০০৪ এর রাজনৈতিক প্রেক্ষাপট ও বতর্মান ২০১৫ এর প্রেক্ষাপট পুরোপুরি ভিন্ন। সরকারি বাহিনীর হাতে ঘুম-ক্রসফায়ারের ভয়ে সরকার বিরোধী নেতাকর্মীরা তো বাড়িতেই থাকতে পারেনা, রাস্তায় নামলেই গুলি। আর সেই মানুষগুলো ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মতো জায়গায়, যেখানে প্রবেশ করতে গেলে শাহবাগ, মেডিকেল মোড়, পলাশী মোড় দোয়েল চত্বর থেকে কিছুদূর পর পর পুলিশ-র্যাব এবংচেকিং উপেক্ষা করে চাপাতি নিয়ে প্রবেশ করে ঠান্ডা মাথায় হত্যা করবে। একমাত্র রাষ্ট্রের প্রশিক্ষিত বাহিনীর পক্ষেই এ ধরণের হত্যাকান্ড ঘটানো সম্ভব।

পঞ্চমত, অভিজিতের হত্যাকান্ড নিয়ে গার্ডিযান পত্রিকার শিরোনাম খেয়াল করলে পুরো ব্যাপারটি আরো সহজে বুঝা যাবে। । সেখানে বলা হয়েছে, "আমেরিকান নাস্তিক ব্লগার বাংলাদেশে খুন".... শিরোনামটা নিয়ে একটু ভাবুন। আমেরিকাতে অথবা ইংল্যান্ডে কেউ জন্মনিলেও তাকে সরাসরি 'আমেরিকান' অথবা 'ব্রিটিশ বলা হয়না। বলা হয়, 'আমেরিকান বর্ন বাংলাদেশী' অথবা 'ব্রিটিশ বর্ন বাংলাদেশী। গার্ডিয়ানের শিরোনামে অভিজিতকে সরাসরি 'আমেরিকান' বলে চালিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। এতে করে সংবাদটির শিরোনাম দেখলে যে কেউ প্রথমেই মনে করবে 'আমেরিকান' খুন হয়ে। এবং বাংলাদেশ মৌলবাদিদের আখড়া অথবা মুক্ত চিন্তার ধারকদের জন্য ভয়ংকর জায়গ।

এ হত্যাকান্ডের সাথে শুধু রাষ্ট্রই সম্পৃক্ত না, এ ধরণের ঘটনার জন্য বাংলাদেশের 'অপেশাদার' বুদ্ধিজীবী ও সুশীলরা দায়ী অনেকাংশে দায়ি। গত ৬ বছর ধরে সরকারের পোষা বাহিনীতে পরিনত হওয়া পুলিশ-র‌্যাব বন্ধুক যুদ্ধের নামে অসংখ্য সরকার বিরোধীদের হত্যা করেছে। গণপিটুনির নামে খেটে খাওয়া দিনমজুরের বুক গুলিতে ঝাঝড়া করে দেয়া হয়েছে। অথচ এই সুশীলরা একটা টু-শব্দও করেনি। আর নিজেদের সহ-চিন্তার একজন খুন হওয়ার পর প্রতিবাদে ফেটে পড়েছে। আমি এ প্রতিবাদকে সাধুবাদ জানাই। একই সাথে হত্যার নিন্দা জানাই।কিন্তু মানবতার ক্ষেত্রে যেখানে পক্ষপাত থাকে সেখানে এ ধরণের ঘটনা ঘটনার পরবর্তী সম্ভাবনা উড়িয়ে দেয়া যায়না। অপরদিকে, অভিজিত হত্যার পর থেকেই পরিস্থিতি, সময়, ও আলামত সাবির্ক দিক বিবেচনা না করেই কেবল ফেইসবুকে হত্যার হুমকি দেয়া হয়েছে সেটার নামে ইসলাম ধর্মের জাত উদ্ধার করছে কথিত প্রগতিশীলরা। ফল যা দাড়াবে, তা হচ্ছে, খুনের আসল রহস্য রহস্যই থেকে যাচ্ছে। একদল শুধু প্রতিবাদ সভা করেই ক্ষ্যান্ত হবে। আর আসল অপরাধী নেপথ্যেই থেকে যাবে।
