Asia’s Submarine Race

I think, This toy is good for training our sub-marine staffs only.

This would be perfect for scouting activity, imho.

OK.
Good training machine..

You are correct. And it for test in swimming pool. Final one could bring 3, ... and mother sub would bring 4. Total 12 for 4 mini sub in a mother ship. There're several mother ships.

That's for approaching the enemy ship or base. It's the idea of the designer.

The AIP mini sub could bring more and sailing longer distance and time than that.

Big and small sub are quite different..
This kind of size is only entry level..
I think other countries usually train their staff with old sub-marine..

What's the armament on this little guy?

That's 1st prototype. There's not sure for its purpose.
We are just interested in its AIP ability.

If the minisub could go well with its AIP, it may considered as succeeded.

FYI, the designer is a well known supplier of some Japanese companies.

The initial plan for the Type 094 was about 16000 tons submerged and to host 16 JL-2 SLBMs, but later it got watered down to 11000 tons submerged and 12 JL-2 SLBMs, because our surface fleet back in a decade ago was still extremely weak, and it would leave our SSBNs being vulnerable to the enemy's anti-sub warfare.

The earliest western report about the Type 094 has also mentioned the 16 SLBM silos, but in 2007, the real Type 094 has emerged, and it was shown with 12 SLBM silos.

The only guard for SSBN are nuclear attack subs. If you need surface vessels to guard your boomers, you are in serious trouble.

China conventional subs would be vulnerable because they need the protection of surface vessels.
When they sail to deep sea, there's no other friendship bases for them, the only choice is returning home.
Use snorkeling is a must.

The close bodyguards are indeed the SSNs, but the surface vessels will serve as the front defensive line and to provide the air superiority with the aircraft carrier battlegroups.

I watched one classic film from Japan, It telling the story about the young Japanese kamikaze soldier, he is trained to do suiciede attack on US warship in small island near Okinawa with small warboat. He has been waited and waited .... but US war ship didn't came.

The end of the film is the science for that: tourists on one seabeach found one full bones skleton of one human in relics of small ship...

I think you do understand the story, sorry for my poor english.

I think you are referring to the 回天 : Kaiten Program. They were the elite group of suicide submariners in the defense of Japan.
