This is for PCB to decide. They have a budget with bills to pay. If PCB has budget surplus or is able to finance its budget through alternate means (credit or asset monetization or gov. grant), then I'm sure PCB will choose to sit this one out.

It is certain that Asia cup will be toothless without Pakistan. But Indian population will watch the games nevertheless and advertisers may get less of their money's worth. At the end of the day, professional sports is about money and in Cricket - India controls most of the revenue.

In my view, only some Indians will not tune for these games. Most watch/follow games even if they are not as excited about it as India - Pak or India - AUS game. Anyways, we will see if there is TRP released for Asia cup.

Btw, I surprised that PCB was unable to retain its right of hosting the game in Pakistan. It could be possible that BCCI was asked to pay restitutions to PCB for this exemption.

2018 Asia Cup was India's, but Pakistan refused to travel to India then, thus forcing the event to take place in UAE.

If anyone in ICC or ACC questions BCCI, this will be brought up.

Oh, that gives precedence to BCCI to make its case.

No Ind v Pak, would mean BCCI would take a hit in terms of revenue and the PCB as well. Suffice to say, the Asia cup would be reduced to an A team event.

If a neutral venue is to be decided, it should be agreed by both cricket boards.

I think Political situation shouldn't be given as a reason to justify this type of actions from Cricket India. It's unfair. Overall India controls cricket boards from all over the world and that's why they use influence to justify their actions.
