I think it's okay to have these small toys for patrolling the area near outposts. with proper armor they'll need RPG to tage it out. but in that time they'll give themselves away.

It's better to lose these toys than soldiers life.

Because it takes time to send aircraft to the area of trouble, so these will hopefully slow down the terrorists etc.

but patrolling border with these are Bull-crap because UAV is better for that.

Also I think it's nonsense to talk about ANKA etc. being better than Heron before they have flown at least 20.000 mission hours.

Anka has 24 Hour duration while Predator and Heron has 40 and 52 Hour. Atleasts that is show on wikipedias most endurable flight records list.

Why would you stop people from flooding EU. You do know that's it's in Turkeys interest that immigrants flood EU right ?

if we're ever going to get that Visa exemption then we shouldn't stop people from going to EU. We should guard our borders on the eastern front.

I understand what you're saying, and Greece and Bulgaria may undoubtedly use it for that purpose, but I don't think that it's our problem. Unless of course we want to keep the Greeks from entering our country.

I hope that you understand my point of view on this issue as well. Turkey is pressuring EU on the visa excemption by not signing the readmission deal before there is a visa deal.

It would be counterproductive of Turkey to guard our western border (unless of course we choose to not do anything even if we stumble on illegal immigrants).

Saithan Bro On 21 June 2012 Turkey and the European Union initialled an agreement on the readmission of irregular migrants.

As far as I know that agreement will be active once our visa problems have been solved, not yet.

Back to topic. I think it'd be best to use these for outpost patrol duty, especially in the north-south-eastern part of Turkey. Primarily syrian and Armenian borders.
