No one ever said that "ALL" west Bengali Muslims are pole vaulters. Neither the article claims that Muslims voted for BJP. Switchover, as is said in article, happened after elections. You just mixed up multiple things, added your imagination in it and asked a question as if that was a fact:

what has that got to do with state government ? this is a state issue where centre has no standing loci..this is police matter. in india, matters of administration are not changed for a government. this is not pakistan.

Political transition in India can be a bloody one and the situation in Bengal is only going to get worse as it nears it's assembly elections.

West Bengal is an endless headache for India. First they bring in the commies and keep them there for 30 years. And then comes Trinamool- even worse (never imagined that was possible). A woman CM who denies women's rights, a stagnant society and an economy in the runis for decades. Hell even their movies bore you to death. Yet, the rich Bengali has no qualms imagning that he is the epicentre of some golden age. Bihar is more virile now. Tagore don't live around the corner anymore, people, wake up and smell the coffee.

Mainly because, it can be easily found out who voted for who, and there would still be retribution after the votes. Congress is very desperate to hold states at this point and they would go to any length to hold some power even if it means resorting to violence.

But Congress has no hold in Bengal. It has been decades since they had any power there.
