Army won’t act against Haqqani network, says Samiul Haq

Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) chief Maulana Samiul Haq said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Army would not take any action against the Haqqani network.
It is not any official forum. Freedom of Speech is given to the Pakistanis. The official narrative is to be taken by everyone rather than any side coalition minority.

If you stop trolling for once, then you are worthy of a reply but I will make an exception this one time.

The bolded part is beside the point, there is no use of blocking the border when the entire command and control of the Talis is right in Pindi. Do you really believe that a bunch of hillbillies like the Talis can fight a sophisticated conflict without with being run by a professional institution aka GHQ? ( the world is not stupid)
you have usa, nato and now india. You are telling that all these countries cant control which by you head by pakistan? Your.country, your army. Killed them all what u doing? Dont beg pakistan and then blame pakistan. Fence ur order no one to passed.

.
If You think Pakistan differences between good and bad Taliban, US and Afghanistan also differences between them. The only thing is Pakistan supports the opposite group of the Taliban and US,AFG supports the other one. If ISI supports AT, NDS,CIA supports TTP. Regarding consequences, Pakistan alone will not suffer the backlash but all involved parties will suffer.

In case you didn't notice, the Talis have not been in the business of sending roses to Afghanistan in the last couple of years. As Ghani puts it, it's undeclared state of hostilities between AF-Pak.

.
Sami-ul-Haq is an extremely controversial cleric, who supports extremism and terrorism, has openly spoken in favor of the TTP (at the time when they were at the peak of their power, were carrying out significant attacks all over the country and controlled certain parts of the North-Western Pakistan), demanded that military operation be stopped and army pulled out of tribal areas. He runs a seminary called "Dar-ul-Uloom Haqqania" in Akora Khattak and wields little power outside his four walls. I believe, that it should tell you enough about whether to take him seriously or no.

Very good a straightforward answer.

Then why the double talk on all international forums that Pak does not differentiate between the Talis.
Also when you do this in your interest there will be repercussions that you have to live with ( i.e. latest American Strategy for South Asia) which will have severe consequences for Pakistan.

The latest American strategy sounds a lot like the old strategy there's nothing new here there's nothing to be happy about after a decade of war

is Afghanistan better than it was when their war first started?

What would be better is if the afghans took ownership for their problems and stopped blaming Pakistan for each and everyone of their problems and take back all their refugees and be content with a fenced border with Pakistan as they seem to think Islamabad is not their brotherly country so why the double speak on afghanistans part make up your mind take your people back and take responsibility don't be hypocritical about it. You don't like Pakistan no problem take your people and good bye.

Could be some random person... but with a name like that it sounds like he makes national policy for Pakistan....

werent you or your kind the ones who used to boast no one could ever capture afghanistan, were those in the past sophisticated, taleneted, high tech fighters

is Afghanistan even worth discussing here, a failed state with no future yet they are not short of false bravado just like their brothers in India. A shameless country trying to ride on somebody else's horses.

All we need to speed up the fencing and kill anyone who tries to cross the border, send the three million afghans back to their shit hole, enough of this brotherly attitude. What a hell hoe we have at our western border.

You are correct my friend, but it is not even a state at the moment. To be a failed state it must has to be a state first.
Taliban has their own governors, courts, police, head of state in their controlled areas while mayor of Kabul, Mr Ghani also sleeps in presidential palace as a head of state.

They are a bunch of Jihadi group leaders who have formed a new platform. They like to delude themselves that what they do, actually helps in defending Pakistan hence the sophisticated and important-sounding name.

There's no double talk, except for people who believe in the old propaganda. Even the ISAF commander in Afghanistan didn't believe that Pakistan military and/or ISI were colluding with the Afghan Taliban.

Former US military commander Gen (R) David Petraeus has said that during his long association with his Pakistani counterparts and interaction with ISI as head of CIA, he could never find a convincing piece of evidence which supported the alleged double game by ISI or its explicit support to elements associated with terrorism.
No Pak role in fomenting trouble in Afghanistan, says Petraeus

I will tell you one thing, if your Govt were to sincerely work and co-operate with us, on certain matters. You will not find a better friend than Pakistan. All this insecurity regarding Afghanistan, stems from the fact that the Indians are openly allowed to operate from and conspire against Pakistan, and that Islamabad would like to see nothing more than a friendly Govt in Kabul (which doesn't necessarily have to be Taliban-based) because the last thing we want, is our country sandwiched between two hostile neighbors. That, is the only thing we are interested in. All the former obsession with finding "strategic depth" is long gone, the atomic bomb took care of that. An unstable Afghanistan isn't in the interest of Pakistan, so destabilizing it doesn't make sense for us.

My good friend, I think you will have to accept the fact that Ashraf Ghani spent huge political capital by directly reaching out to GHQ in his first year of being in power to come to an arrangement where all of Pakistan's security concerns will be dealt with but in return all he got was a full fledged war by GHQ's minion between 2014-now aim of destroying they very state he was heading.

So excuse us if we don't take some of ur arguments not seriously.

Can you elaborate a little on the full fledged war part? Are you referring to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border skirmishes some time ago?
