Argentina Considering To Purchase 12 JF17C Worth 664Million Dollars

In fact I‘m not that optimistic … yes, the AF wants it, the Argentinian government too, but there is no money available and even more there will be elections first so that the current government won‘t decide and what the new decides is still open.

Hopefully China offers Argentina soft loan on long terms to cover the purchase. Sweeten the pot

The money is available now, the new Argentine defense budget saw considerable increase even when adjusted for inflation however the elections are a very result decider.

If you ask Argentinian defence specialists outside the government, they don't agree

The J-35 is a twin engine fighter. It has the ability to take risks.

WS-10 is also first used for twin engine fighter J11B, and then used for single engine fighter J10C.
Honestly do u think China is stupid that it would sell an engine that hasn't been tested properly?

It's could be done through Chinese banks lending Rgentina money and various methods of payment such as argentine beef etc

There’s different opinions among their ranks too it seems. At the end of the day even if they have a larger defense budget money is going to stay tight, hence there’s always a very real possibility that they won’t buy anything at all.

US pressure means Argentina will not buy Chinese jets.
So Hal Tejas is frontrunner.

Murica pressure is fading and fading fast

Week by week and even day by day and even different and less in the evening than in the morning

Murica is a has-been rump

Totally without honor at all as seen from all the broken treaties signed by Murica

Egypt doesn't work like this. When we buy an aircraft, we buy it for a purpose and not for showing to the world that we got an expensive aircraft. Maybe other arab countries who has the money but even them they don't do this. Look at KSA and UAE, they have F-15 EFT Rafales Mirage 2K not for being arrogant to buy them. They have a great air force.
However, looking at largest fleet of your F 16s and early batches of Raffaele capabilities indicate otherwise. Even Pakistan got a better version of F 16. Those jets doesn't give a very rosy picture when you say that Egypt chooses as per its needs..

whereas whenever you mention JF-17 ,imagine what comes in mind for a potential Middle Eastern buyer?
needy and desperate Pakistanis working in the middle east at the bottom of the society and rest of Pakistan filled with disease, desperate Pakistanis suffering hunger, floods, terrorism and incompetent authorities.

it seems like they (Arabs including Egypt) consider JF17 too low for their standards. they would rather settle for a watered down Western Jet because the external beauty and the brand name is enough to give them a hard on.
I think the post is basically reflection of a defeated mindset. Admittedly we have issue of Governance in form of corrupt politicians but I think India has more workers. These type of high end deals doesn't deal with such emotions. They are mostly based on need, tech parametrea and mostly political interests.
If this would been the case their militaries wouldn't have been trained by Pak Army and airforce {except Egypt}.

Our Rafales have one of the best avionics and armaments (what it is missing is the Meteor and we don't know if we upgraded them to F3R variant yes but the new batch is either F3R or F4 which can carry Meteor and plus we will receive MICA NG) and for the F-16 they aren't obsolete. They are missing the AIM-120. That's why the MIG-29 will compensate the problem. In 90ies, our F-16 had every pack but due to QME and we let Chinese scientist to observe closely the aircraft, USA decided to not give the AIM-120. So don't worry about us.

Argentina need a supersonic fighter jet urgently.. They know that. Especially when they have a tight budget. They cannot get a fighter jet that can't do anything to UK. They need an all rounder combat jet that can fulfill all it's basic need.
