Well lets give you a realistic scenario shall we?

Ever other day for 20+ years a set of police/ army / god knows which uniform men come to your homes to question you and your brother, your father...They control your trade, water even fields where you get your food source....And then when the "doubt" you...without a trial ...no questions asked you are taken away from your family...interrogated, scared with shouts and all....and when nothing emerges thrown back....

Your neighbour's home is barged and searched....in a distance you hear a bang and some man is dead with his wife and kid crying near him...

You ignore its not your business then suddenly your dad is shot and dies....your house is looted and your baby sister dies in front of you ...shot by another man in uniform and spat on ...and only 1 organization...you know they are bad but you have your blood boiling from continuous violence....when this organization invites you and shows you they are the only ones doing something against the perpetrators....what exactly would you do? Be honest!


Even some Israeli soldiers are more honest regarding what is happening than many men on this forum!

- though this trial was about rape of a child....It can easily be used to put you in the shoes the Gaza situation!

Hamas sent their proposal which @Hazzy997 posted here...and it was asking for the rights of the Palestinians ...when Israel refused and continued shelling....well you know the rest of the story!


Due to the continuous oppression was Hamas created....inviting people who have lost faith in anyone helping...Inviting those who saw were going through the trauma of watching their whole family die in front of them and they not being able to do ....inviting those whose houses were bulldozed and those whose family was taken and those who are already dead from inside....

I sympathize with the plight of the Palestinians, am no fan of Israel, and I normally agree with Galloway's views; however, I think he was wrong and childish to walk out on the debate simply because his opponent was an Israeli.

You can't just demonize all Israelis......as like any demographic group they comprise of a variety of different political views. There are Israeli human right organizations like B'Tselem which oppose the occupation and speak out against military agression in the Gaza conflict. Some former Israeli soldiers have spoken out against actions of the Israeli military.

here one from the 2008-2009 conflict.

In the end, a long-term peaceful settlement between the Israelis and Palestinians can only be reached if moderate Israelis are also engaged.


It would've been better if Galloway stayed in the debated and refuted the points that his opponent would have made.
