Are you an Israeli? I do not recognize Israel - George Galloway

.
Well this is an international forum not India...

@Akheilos I wanted to ask your views on why Egypt is not criticized as much as Israel (or more) for blocking its border with the Gaza Strip? Why are they not outraged by the situation enough to act by opening up the border freely for people and aid?

Good question because Egypt is an outsider ....1 step at a time...

Plus also probably because It is Israel that took Palestinian lands as well is abusing Palestinian rights for decades! Egypt should also be condemned yes...It has done enough crap by selling Palestinian lands to the Jews from under the feet of the Palestinians themselves!

Another more logical reason would be Egypt is under its own war right now so no one wants to give it more shit than that! And many are still confused about the SISI regime if he is legit and the atrocities he is doing is real or not!

When asked about Egyptian mediation efforts aimed at bringing about a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, Erdogan scoffed. “Is Sisi a party (to a ceasefire)? Sisi is a tyrant himself,” Erdogan was quoted by AFP as telling reporters. “He is not different from the others.”

Erdogan slams Egypt's Sisi as 'tyrant' over Cairo policy toward Hamas | JPost | Israel News

Egypt’s Illegitimate President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi
Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the former head of the military that overthrew Egypt’s legitimately elected president Mohammed Morsi in a 2013 coup d’état, is almost certain to win a landslide victory in today’s [May 26-27] presidential election. Sisi’s victory, however, won’t be due to a groundswell of popular support. In fact, a Pew Research poll conducted in April found that only a narrow majority of Egyptians support him.
Instead, Sisi will win because he has banned the main opposition, the Muslim Brotherhood, the organization from which the legitimate president, Morsi, sprang. Just as importantly, Morsi supporters are boycotting the vote, reasoning that they already have a legitimate president, even if he has been illegally locked away in the regime’s prisons.
So, with the only substantial opposition viciously suppressed, and Morsi supporters staying away from the polls, a Sisi landslide victory is a virtual certainty. But it will confer no legitimacy on the Egyptian strongman.
Under Sisi’s leadership, the military government has massacred thousands of demonstrators who took to the streets in protest against the coup. It has also jailed tens of thousands of other Morsi supporters, banned demonstrations, and discouraged dissent by locking up journalists who oppose the military take-over.

If you’ve forgotten how closely Sisi cleaves to the model of the brutal authoritarian tyrant that Western governments and media profess to abominate, think back to last summer. Here are New York Times reporters Kareem Fahim and Mayy el Sheik describing one Sisi-led massacre:

The Egyptian authorities unleashed a ferocious attack on Islamist protesters early Saturday, killing at least 72 people in the second mass killing of demonstrators in three weeks and the deadliest attack by the security services since Egypt’s uprising in early 2011.

The tactics — many were killed with gunshot wounds to the head or the chest — suggested that Egypt’s security services felt no need to show any restraint.

In the attack on Saturday, civilians joined riot police officers in firing live ammunition at the protesters as they marched toward a bridge over the Nile. By early morning, the numbers of wounded people had overwhelmed doctors at a nearby field hospital.

And so on...

I guess when Egyptians reach a decade of oppression (like Saddam, Qadafi, Assad) then people will voice out for them too...

Press TV

==============================

latest program :

Israel continues its military aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip, targeting more innocent Palestinian civilians in their houses.

Meanwhile, latest reports put the Palestinian death toll in Gaza at 260. Palestinian health officials say 14 children under the age of 12 have been killed over the past two days in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli military, Israel had called up 48,000 reserve soldiers and, later on Thursday, its cabinet authorized the military to call up 18,000 more.

The development came as Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal said on Friday that the Israeli ground operation was bound to fail

So if what Israel is doing right now in Gaza is so wrong, then why is Egypt and its Muslim majority not opening up their side of the border with Gaza for relief supplies? Why is the outrage being fanned from halfway across the world?

Something does not add up here.

Hmm many are not aware of what Egypt is doing and not....Many arent even aware that Egypt shares a border with Gaza strip! All the world sees is Egypt brought the proposal for Hamas so it did its share as a neighbour! A very good question though...

@VCheng I guess everyone is more interested in giving the Palestinians their rights then to bother about their bastard neighbours attitudes?

But the point is that Palestinians need support from all quarters, and their own Muslim neighbors are the best positioned to give it to them. Why are they not? Why are they not called to task by those who champion Palestinian rights so much?

Call who to task??

. . . .
The same people who are calling out Israel. Why are they selective in their outrage?

And that detective, is the right question. None of the Arab brethren government of the Palestinians have shown much love for those being massacred and as such have no reason to. They know for a fact that the recent out-pour of love via the US for them is on the behest of Israel.. or rather their good behaviour with Israel. That love keeps their dictatorial seats intact and allows them to rule their sheep for longer.

But at the very same time, these governments are essentially still of the people of those areas. When they have no actual objection to the way they are ruled then what is the need to poke our noses into their matters?
In addition, when Egypt seems to be focused under their new Leader on eliminating all extremist organizations from their nation, would it be too much of a hyperbole to assume that they would not want Hamas and its gun toting influence out of their country?

And Sir, based on your very words "what is the need to poke our noses into their matters", why should Pakistanis be shouting themselves hoarse over a uniquely Arab problem? Let them sort it out. Let Pakistanis do what is best for Pakistan.

George Galloway replying to an Israeli student: Are you an Israeli? I do not recognize Israel. I don’t debate with Israelis.”

Well done Mr. Galloway! Wish the Western and Arab statesmen had a bit of courage and boldness you have!
