It seems that Turkey and israel are on a collision course. Turkey is about to challenge the israeli blockade of Gaza at the International Court of Justice. That will certainly make the relation between Turkey and israel volatile. Israel may attempt a limited military response. Militarily, israel is definitely in a better condition, besides, it has the full backing of the west. Turkey should be extremely careful about any military confrontation with israel.

I am not really sure on the winner between the 2 nations in event of war, but I dont expect this to happen.

If Turkish navy escorts the next flotilla bound for Gaza it will be very difficult for israel to avoid a naval conflict. In case of a military conflict what are the possibilities?

it has the full backing of the west.

Very dubious. The world is changing and has changed, the balance of power is changing in favor of the east. The west no more have the luxury to give a blind support to Israel. Do you ever wonder despite Turkey-Israel relations is at the bottom why the relations between the west and Turkey doesnt radically change? A military conflict is not likely though.

Israel wants to control the meditarrenaen sea as using "Hamas rockets". They say that there is a blockade here and we are the one controls here. So that they could control the natural resources of the sea alone. This is what Turkey is against.

So, you're saying that the whole thing is about exploiting the natural resources. That's one aspect of it but there's certainly more to it. Israel is doing to Gaza what the US and her allies have been doing everywhere in the Muslim world. They don't want the Islamic parties to gain power democratically. In doing so they have created a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

I don't know if Turkey and Israel are on a collision course but I have a feeling that something definitely will happen in a few years resulting in WW3. Or may be you can see that WW3 is already going on so in that case we can say that WW3 will move into full gear.

I don't know why people believe that war wont' happen and they always give "economic" justification like in case of USA and China or Turkey vs Israel e.t.c. Economic doesn't matter, when a war has to happen it happens. It has been 70 years since the world saw WW2 and if you take a look at the scriptures of Muslims, Christians and Jews then you will see there is mention of a big war between them. You may be athiest or belong to some other religion but when 3 big religions of the world say something common then you better believe it.

This is also another aspect which i agree. But its really hard for them to carry on that policy. That policy is not strict as it was before.

No one is gonna wipe out anyone, that`s just stupid talk.
AKP just offered again for normalization of ties today if Israel apologizes but what would be the point?
It is crystal clear that they have become our enemies and will stay that way till CHP gets reelected.

You underestimate the west's favoring Israel...and you have missed to see that your PM has become a bumbling fool and unnecessarily escalated it. Tell us ( since you claim to have the moral highground about the need for open seas )what Turkey thinks of china's claim to South China Sea? How come we don't hear those calls for open seas on that matter but only against the Jews?

This has been a poorly executed diplomatic blunder by your PM and it can kiss getting itself to be a part of the EU goodbye! – American backing it had to join the EU– is now gone…

Finally , how come you guys kill hundreds of Kurds and call them terrorist but Israel is not allowed to protect itself from terrorists?

Probably because Palestinians are freedom fighters while Kurds are just evil terrorists.

Turkey is trying to establish itself as a frontrunner in that part of the world. Its job has been made easier with the departure of Saddam and the turmoil in Egypt, Libya, Syria etc.

Israel meanwhile continues to do what it has done for decades ,i.e. protect itself.

It would be foolish on part of both of them to push things beyond a point. The world will not let things happen beyond a point as that region is the juglar of the world .
