Should Pakistan join Muslim NATO?

I don't even know why one would even need US to help counter Iran. The job could be done with existing Sunni Muslim countries, especially Egypt and Pakistan, both of whom have a robust military.

Egypt is an impotent puppet country and Pakistan is almost 1/3 Shia no need to go after our neighbour Iran don't need another enemy. We must stay out of this wicked sectarian games of these Arabs.

A sensible suggestion. Pakistan needs a more balanced approach to the Muslim world besides being Saudi Arabia's ally. As long as you continue to alienate Iran, the more it will gravitate towards India.

Security in a region is coming from inside and must be shaped through regional dialogue otherwise it definitely would work completely in opposite as we've all witnessed so far but some people are not willing to learn.
And United States & external aggression in one sentence is beyond my mind to comprehend.

Saudi government again trying to be clever. There are already security understandings between US and it's allies. Especially by hosting military bases there. So there is no need for a security 'agreement'. It's just an attempt at looking clever or scoring brownie points against Iran. They will never be able to pushback against Iran's influence if they alienate too much of Arab population. Of course not all Iran's influence is bad either. Saudi Arabia and Iran can do better for the region than what they are offering.

This Saudi government once again appears weak and ignorant. They really think they can take on everyone, and especially in stupid ways by suggesting MB are terrorists and alienating Sunni Islamists. Ultimately I blame the state-Salafi establishment which is backing the regime hard by going on crusade against other Sunni Islamist, partially the Ikhwan. When Saudi regime collapses because this moron Salafi establishment that has no foresight, guess who will have to clean up the mess? None other than the Ikhwan or ordinary good hearted Muslims.

Join it but don't call it Muslim NATO.
Call it directly Wahabbi army

No, don't call it 'Wahabi' army. There is no thing known as 'Wahabi'. Saudi's state-religious establishment is Salafi. Salafi's are Sunni, they are not different than other Sunni's. The problem is Al-Tyoos and their state sponsored scholars, who hijacked Salafism movement to advance interests of the state. The state sponsored clerics are hypocritical, and they have large influence over people, so this is where they do lots of damage in the Arab world. The non-hypocritical Salafi clerics are either arrested or just quiet and can't make their fair assessments about political matters in region due to fear of being prosecuted by the state.

Salafi's have great religious knowledge, and they know very well how to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet(SAW). However, they are not fit to make a lot of fatwas and have an hard time balancing judgements with modern era. They have a problem where they think they are above others in terms of piousness which isn't true, because a lot of it comes down to intentions. So wearing thobe and growing beard and speaking with religious flamboyance is not sufficient to determine ones piousness. So they have made many mistakes. Their biggest problem is advising Muslims to not indulge in politics which is very wrong and the state sponsored clerics in the Gulf have gone to extreme lengths to defend wrongdoings/misguidance of the regimes. Also have tried using Islam to slander political enemies like Muslim Brotherhood. This is where they have done severe wrong and will be punished by God for it.

However, does not make them 'Wahabi's' or some extreme fold of Islam that is separate from Sunnis. They are Sunni's but biased towards their states. Therefore I don't care about the state sponsored clerics but I know there are many others who just can't express their views freely and more true to what Islam is about.

Partially, yes. Turkey is a member state of Nato but our relationship with Iran is fine. We don't have the same opinion regarding Syria, Iraq and Yemen but we have reached a modus vivendi. Pakistan could adopt a similar approach.

For instance, Turkey and Iran exchange soldiers who are accidentally crossing the international boundary between the two states on a regular basis.

We have agreements and protocols for all kind of incidents. Anti-terror operations in the region are usually no problem. There is no visa necessary. Trade is almost no problem.

Pakistan has options.
