Well, I somewhat agree with your second line, hence I categorized Egypt above KSA. Egypt has a big classic battle-hardened army. I don't know why some people underrate Egyptian army.

I was thinking of placing Algeria in #5. I didn't include ISIS or factions in Syrian war from both sides. For Houthis, the Yemeni army has poor training. And much of army is already in sync with Houthis. Most of their gains are in north and not really in south east.

Their navy's like Iran. Large but useless. Actually, none of Arabic navies are worth mentioning. They heavily rely on western equipment especially in air warfare.

Calm down with your rhetoric. This thread isn't comparing state militaries. It's about quality of soldiers, skills and experience. If we compare militaries no doubt Egypt would top list in Arab world. However that's not purpose of thread.

If you put 3,000 members of those 'midget terrorist groups' against 3,000 Israeli soldiers, everyone knows what end result is. When no Air power is being used they will triumph and that has always been case in past and present. Israeli soldiers are over exaggerated, they never win any gun fight. Their strategy is to not engage in gun fight. It is to draw fire , retreat and call air support. Along with disproportionate shelling against neighborhoods. Obviously that indicates that they are not capable of leading the battlefield. And their battle field commanders aren't up for task. And also their soldiers lack motivation to operate and utilize their skills. Because they are heavily dependent on air power.

If they wanted to minimize civilian casualties and put their training to test it will result in failure for their armed brigades. On other hand those 'midget groups' have no armor, air support or intelligence support'. They purely utilize their skills attained and do it effectively against all odds.

So yes they deserve top spot. Only people who deny reality believe otherwise.

Terrorists always overrate themselves. In reality, when they are placed in front of armies in a real war(I am not talking about hit and run), they always piss in their pants and fail miserably.
A great example is the big daddy of these midget terrorists which is IRGC of Iran. IRGC supporters always have chest thumpings like they are better than US army. but, in reality, in Iran-Iraq war, every major battle which IRGC was leading independently(about 6.5 last years of war), failed miserably with huge casualties, while all big achievements(Like stopping Iraqi forces, driving them out of Khoramshahr, and vicinity of Abadan, and northwest of khouzestan, and major role in capturing Al-Faw) were done by classic Iranian army.
