This thread is about Arab military entities/armed forces with best training in terms of personnel. Just a quick ranking of mine and some reasons to be listed. It's only an opinion so don't take it too serious. Would also like your opinions as well. And if you'd like to add anything or disagree with anything feel free to do so.

My top 5:

1. Hezbollah
-Serious fighting ideology
-Fighters have specialist training
-30,000 fighters
-Some training from Iran
-Experience
-Access to advanced weapons
-Highly skilled in Urban warfare and can turn tables around

2. Jordanian forces
-Trains Arab counterparts in region, also involved in training FSA elements
-Rigorous physical training
-Experienced in battle/security situations
-Forces made biggest gains against Israeli forces in past wars

3. Lebanese Army
-Smaller number of forces than some Arab armies
-Experienced in security related situations
-Competent forces
-However limited in military scope

4. Al Qassam Brigades

-Most modern experience with regional power
-Specialist fighters can carry wide variety of tasks
-Motivation of fighters is very high(Are up for challenges)
-Very limited resources which also prevent being able to make most out of experience

5. Egyptian forces

-Have experience in desert warfare
-Forces are loyal
-Decent training, suffers a little due to large manpower available

.......

.........

This is all I could of think of for now. Need to do more research but you can all add on or correct any mistakes I made.

Make your top 5 list :

@1000
@Frogman
@Mahmoud_EGY
@Tomyris
@Tunisian Marine Corps
@PRC2025

.........

Number 6/7 for me would probably be Algeria/Tunis

Before the western invasion of Arab lands...
Syria, Egypt, Iraq, were the three strongest armies in the Arab world in terms of direct wars ( front to front)... Libya and Yemen also...
but then the "Arab Spring" came and the Arab world got destroyed...
when it comes to urban warfare, Hezbollah for sure is the best...

In terms of people resolved to sacrifice all to defend sovereignty and socio-culture Algeria and Sudan deserve honorable mention. In modern warfare where SFs are deployed extensively, grading a military without popular support, may be incorrect. By that account Hezbollah is definitely the top Arab military. Don't forget emerging IS/Iraq.

Really Egypt, they have the worst record against Israel. Houthis do deserve a mention (possibly 5th spot), they have been able to beat Yemen government forces, Al-Qaeda and Saudi Army.

I'm not ranking most powerful armies. Just most capable personnel.

Arabs military's don't have much naval capabilities apart from Algeria (which has subs?)

Egypt has large Navy.

I was thinking of placing Algeria in #5. I didn't include ISIS or factions in Syrian war from both sides. For Houthis, the Yemeni army has poor training. And much of army is already in sync with Houthis. Most of their gains are in north and not really in south east.

Useless,vintage ships and no real underwater capability (Ancient Romeo class subs)..

Rapidly modernizing with the addition of four Ambassedor MKIII FMC (option for two more), four Gowind Corvettes (option for two more), two Type 209 Subs (negotiating for two more), and currently in negotiation for two FREMM.

Romeo Class subs can launch Harpoons, but are obsolete, either way, the EN in its current and future forms is perfectly capable of doing its job.

Algerian navy

-2 Frigate Meko A-200 option 2 (3500T)
-3 Chinese frigate (2800T) with Western equipment
-6 Submarine, 2 and 4 Kilo877 Kilo636, S Club missile (300Km)
-1 Door hélicopére one option

SEVERAL hélicopére lynx and merlin.

Bastion missile / yakhount we command. the Algerian navy and most powerful.

the Algerian special forces are formidable, para commandos, and special forces, such as GIS and DSI are leading the attack Ains Amenas , they are among the best in the world and it's not me who says.

in the year 90, the Algerian army fought a war against the teroriste, which was over 50 000 with an economic crisis and a emabrgo and we beat them we fear anyone and Algeria rispote has any attack what am israeli or American, it is not like a country dictates its law .

It would be Saudis > Egyptians > followed by rest ... ( wrt firepower).

Egypt has a better firepower.
Syria, Libya and Iraq are fucked now, so I would rank as follows:
1. Egypt
2. KSA
3. huge gap, then Algeria, UAE, Jordan, Morocco

About capable personnel, again I would rank Egypt as first. Bunch of midget terrorist groups cannot be compared in this regard to let's say Egyptian army.

Saudis in the audis are hi-tech .. Egyptian airforce = no AWACS-No BVR
Saudi military = Again advanced than Egyptians .. But the Egyptians make up in numbers n training۔
