Well, the term "Bengali" is a broad description of the ethnic community in the region of Bengal ( West Bengal and Bangladesh). They speak the language "bengali". Traditionally, they have been recognized as a community who are very successful intellectually ( Authors,poets, scientists, businessmen etc.). Average of most of Sinhalese are taller than Tamils and fair skin tone variations, Sinhalese in North west area have some darker skin tone variations.
Average Tamils are shorter and skinny and darker skin tone, fare skin tone is too rare among Tamils.
Sri Lankan moors are similar to Sinhalese, moors are mostly fair skin tone.
