Anti-NATO protest in Chicago: ‘Stop killer drones’

I totally support drone strikes.

These Americans protesting Drone Strikes don't have relatives killed in suicide bombings by these terrorists who are being wiped out in this drone campaign.

They are protesting these drone strikes from a humanistic point of view which is very noble and very naive.

Many americans have continually shown that they want to see a more peaceful united states instead of a country that is responsbile for destroying thousands of lives and killing millions of people abroad. They just don't get the chance it seems.

How? She isn't doing anything brave.

Chicago PD has jailed quite a few kids for terrorism charges after they posted mocking videos of CPD officers saying compromising words on youtube. If you are going to risk being charged for terrorism in America, then even speaking for the cause is brave enough.

CPD officers literally carried out undercover ops where they took some explosives, gave it to the same kids under some bogus pretenses and then flashed a badge, that the kids were associating with people with bombs - the people they associated with and the person who brought a bomb to the protest was the CPD officer.

In essence, Chicago PD brought bombs to the Nato protest just to get back at a few kids who made them look bad.

Are you referring to these three adults as kids? 9 were arrested, only 3 have been charged so far:

Excerpt from: 3 face terror charges after Chicago apt. raid - CBS News

(CBS/AP) CHICAGO - Three men arrested earlier this week when police raided a Chicago apartment were being held on terrorism conspiracy charges Saturday stemming from allegations that they tried to make Molotov cocktails ahead of the NATO summit, but the first major dress rehearsal of this weekend's large-scale protests was relatively peaceful.

Chicago police Lt. Kenneth Stoppa said the men face a bond hearing later Saturday on charges of conspiracy to commit terrorism, possession of an explosive or incendiary device and providing material support. Stoppa identified the men being held as Brian Church, 20, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Jared Chase, 24, of Keene, N.H.; and Brent Vincent Betterly, 24, of Oakland Park, Mass..........

........... The three defendants were among nine protesters arrested in a controversial raid at the Bridgeport apartment, in which several people complained that police mistreated them and violated their civil rights.

Six others also arrested Wednesday in the raid of the South Side apartment where they were staying were released Friday without charges being filed.

More from: http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2...ons-obama-office-were-planned-prosecutors-say

prosecutors stated that police found a gun that fires mortar rounds, swords, a hunting bow, ninja-like throwing stars and knives with brass knuckle handles.

The beer-brewing operation, prosecutors added, was used to fill bottles with gasoline that would later be thrown as Molotov cocktails.

"Plans were made to destroy police cars and attack four CPD stations with destructive devices, in an effort to undermine the police response" to attacks on the Obama office, the Emanuel home as well as unspecified financial institutions during the NATO summit this weekend, the charging statement said.

With due respect i totally disagree with your comment though it seems that you have not resided in Pakistan for quiet a while so you have no real information and the awareness of what is going on :hitwall:

hey, focus on your own mess in your own country first(60% living in poverty I hear?) before commenting on the situation of other countries

Say that when my mess starts spilling over into other countries. We don't have kids boarding boats and massacring hundreds in other countries.

Maybe consider hiring a competent police and armed forces that can actually stop and locate kids entering your border for malicious purposes..oh look that's another mess!

Why don't you start with your bannu jail and tell us also where to find such mard-e-momin who are equipped enough to guard jails with their roohani-taqat, let alone a 7500km coastline.

Residing in Pakistan is irrelevant.

A Drone strike a few months back took out the terrorist who planned the Ahmedi Mosque Bombing which killed hundreds in Lahore.

If a few innocents get killed, then its regrettable but there is no weapon platform on the planet that is 100% fool proof in preventing innocents being killed.

But these drone strikes have had a devastating effect on terrorists and terrorism in pakistan and elsewhere.

Just look at the number of drone strikes vs terrorist attacks in pakistan.

It reads like an economics graph. As Price goes up, the demand goes down.

Same thing has happened here.

As drone strike went up, terrorist attacks in Pakistan went down.

Infact, it has been so sucessful that American Planners are running out of targets.

Killing terrorists using drone strikes still doesn't justify the fact that innocents are killed in the process.

Either find a peaceful way to deal with the issue, or don't bother at all.

I would love drone strikes to happen if it only killed terrorists; but strikes that kill innocent women and children is horrendous.

Why don't you contact your highly intelligent RAW to locate the kids that terrorize you, it's your mess, isn't it?

America was built on the foundations of freedom from tyranny, oppression, and coercion. A true American Patriot would never support the illegal occupation and destruction of foreign lands for America herself was liberated from occupation of the British through the struggle of its founding fathers.

As Sir George Washington stated, America should keep out of foreign conflicts at all costs. :usflag:

If a 9/11 type act was pulled during Washingtons' presidency, he would have 'glassed over' Afghanistan AND Pakistan for their double dealing. He was into freedom and all but he would F your @ss up if needed. He wasn't a p^ssy.:usflag:

Many of the Chicago protesters are "Occupy" a-holes.

he should go down there and "glass us" all over himself :)

It appears that these protests failed to affect stated US positions much at all:
