Ancient Pakistan the Defense Wall of India

It's time for Indians to pay gratitude to ancient Pakistan and Pakistanis...They faced regular invasions from Persia,Central Asia and the Steppes head on and became the cushion which helped India withstand the attacks....Without them facing the full brunt of invasions India would have been following a different culture and philosophy......

Ancient Pakistanis bore the first shock of Persian,Macedonian,Greek,Scythian,Yuezhi,Parthian,Hunnic,Arabic,Turkic,Mongol,Turco-Mongol invasions.....
even today we are wall between afghanistan hell and ME mess . you should be thankful

But Alexander didnot go back immediately after Battly of Hydapses...He stayed in Ancient Pakistan and went southwards...defeating other Brahman tribes....most famouly the Mallians OR Mallas

What is your definition of "immediately". They didn't have humveys and c130s those days for evacuation. He and his defeated army was stuck bang in the middle of ancient Pakistan with no clear sense of direction. The only way out was to follow Indus downstream towards Arabian sea on retreat back towards conquered Persia. His army was picked up by other ancient Pakistanis. Their remains can still be found in makran coastline.
I am glad people are begining to recognize the achievements of Ancient Pakistani's. For too long the acievements of our ancestors have been looted by people from Kerala, Tamils, Odishans, Telagus, Assamese, Biharis etc in what is today known as India. This is akin to Roman gypsies claiming the acievements of Ancient Rome because they are 'Roma'.

Silly as this sounds but we see this everyday. Wobbling heads from Chennai will be bragging about 'how Indians fought Alexander' ......

I wrote a detailed thread on a now defunct forum on the battle of hadaspes, before PDF existed.

Yes we Pakistanis need to owe our ancients and history. Indus is ours, exclusively, just like nile is for Egyptians.

Ancient India with 500 gods, 500 princely states, 500 owners, and 500 castes.

Anything else to add about your 5000 year old Ganges culture?
Infact it was outsider who gathered them in one bit. Muslim or Christian.

Thanks for the answer..I want to make a one stop resource silo regarding life in Western Punjab before the British Canal Colonies...Would set it up in the history section
What most of the idiots here don't know is most of Western Punjab was desert and had tiny population. Potohar plateu and Khyber Pakhtunkwa had greater population although even then it was small. That is one the reasons why the region never could sustain a large empire or armies. Instead small princely states with local rulers were the norm and often fought each other. When invaders came they did not look at them as invaders but 'how they could be used' to settle scores with their neighbouring region.

Modern Punjab is moistly a British making. The irrigated the lands and then brought in farmers often from the more densely populated Eastern Punjab many of whom were Sikhs who bizzarely got kicked out back east again in 1947.

When dumb sanghis try to be historian trolls
And going by your logic Delhi the seat of turkic Delhi sultanate and later mughals is also part of Pakistan Agara another seat for em gujarat etc too

In fact majority of present North India was conquered in most of these campaigns that too for centuries
South was relatively less affected

So it's southerners who should be thankful of North Indian

Btw historically most of these central Asian conquerors had local allies from the present Pakistani lands who joined em to Loot present North Indian locale cities

As there wasn't much in lands of ancient Pakistan for these conquerors to fight for with the Ancient Pakistanis
Historically there was no major city pre mughals time in present Pakistan Even lahore was tiny town of that era Mughals developed it into big city after conquering most of North India as I said using army filled with allies from as you said ancient Pakistan
So ancient Pakistan wasn't defence wall for India in most of these campaigns but instead soldiers recruitment center to conquer present Indian lands

That is a good start; people imagine how India and Pakistan "were" based on what they see now.

Where as the fact of the matter is that that the erstwhile indian center of gravity was toward UP and Bengal primarily and then the south afterwards.

What is now pakistan, was mostly an ungoverned or at most a loosely governed area.

Lahore , sialkot, etc are punjabi settlements and came much later.
Multan is where the 5 rivers met, and that was there much much before anything else.

Are you including both sides of Punjab into ancient Pakistan but not the one founded 74 years ago?
