You know Buddha was born in Nepal, right?

He's born in today's Nepal right at the border. But is it Nepali culture Buddhism spread? Nepali culture is basically in itself Indic, which has it's base in the indo-gangetic plains. His kingdom is in both India and Nepal. The capital being in India.

And prince Siddhartha became the "Buddha" in eastern India.

And now Buddhists make up less than 1% of India's population.

Buddhist ideas have heavily influenced India. Even jainism even though it was never in big numbers.

Put it like this, if European nations become Pagan in the next 500 years, Christian-abrahamic philosophies will still be there. It's the same way with India and Buddhism.

And now Buddhists make up less than 1% of India's population.

There is very thin line between Hinduism and Buddhism {at least my observation from Indian Buddhists}
Hindus believe Lord Buddha as one of the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is respected like every other God

India from a Hindu majority became Buddhist then again reverted to Hinduism; and there was no blood shed during these transition in the name of religion unlike the Abrahamic counter parts

Two of Buddhism's greatest teaching places are in Pakistan, Taxila near Islamabad and Sharda in Neelum Valley.

Nepal was never part of India.

It is indeed surprising that Indians convert every thing into Indic first and then they start owning it.

What they don't even now realize is that the old India, name of which they retained, is not the present India.

Yes, the current India is overwhelmingly Hindu dominated, it does not give them the right to start calling everything indic - which it was never and is still not.

Buddhism is shared heritage of India and Nepal.

See this is why we call u gut's delusional:
1)Firstly the Pakistan (which is the land of Takshashila)that u are referring to was also India(pre-Partition) and Hindu dominated region.Lord Buddha himself was a Hindu Khsatriya.
2)A few years ago Nepal was the only declared Hindu Nation on Earth.
3)Every Hindu Brahmin worships the Shaligram Shila as Narayana and these Shaligram Shilas which are basically Ebonites are found only in the Kali Gandaki river that originates in Muktinath(Nepal). One of the hoiiest sites of Hindu worshiping.
4)The Pujaris(priests)who worship and carry out the daily rites at the Pashupatinath temple(UNESCO WHS) in Nepal are Bhatt Brahmins who could only be elected and recruited on this job from the Indian state of Karnataka!!
All these points that I made was to simply point out how closely the two countries are aligned in terms of religion and heritage. Now as far as the bolded part from your post is concerned I could then say that Pakistan should not be called Pakistan at all since the original Pakistan that was conceived in 1947 was partitioned in 1971 and there was no point calling the larger part of erstwhile Pakistan Pakistan at all!!!And just to state a few more narratives in the India-Nepal closeness u should know that no Indian visiting Nepal needs a passport or Visa or any such documents.I could visit Nepal whenever I want and a person from Nepal could visit India whenever he wants. Its like we are the same country. Moreover the Nepalese people have the right to take up any job in India and the only restriction applies to jobs relating to intelligence etbs.!!
Despite this u people say that Nepal was NEVER NEVER NEVER a part of India!!!Only God could help u guy's.There are so many Gorkhas living in India that today the Gorkhas are rightfully claiming a separate state for them in India!!Get this fact straight-The only reason why Nepal has always remained a separate and independent state is because it continued to be predominantly a Monarchy even upto the late 90's.
