Analysis: Dr. Afridi - Enemy of the State?

Dr. Afridi is paying for Pakistan's bruised ego.

She was charged with the crime that she committed in US custody. Her abduction in Karachi was the work of Pakistan's esteemed agencies based on what they knew, not US.

Even with Snowden, as much as people would want to punish him, it must, and will, be done according to the law. That is the important point.

According to the law of whom? US?

so does that of Pakistan viz a viz traitor afridi

The ironic thing is that FCR is obsolete British Colonial Administrative Law from a dead era far gone by. It is not even Pakistani law, bad enough as that is. So what has Pakistan done?

She was being tracked not because she planned to shoot some Americans, but for her role in a terrorist organization, which we dont see in her indictment.

Moreover, she was arrested in Afghan province of Ghazni by Afghan National Police.

^^ You began your argument by declaring Afridi 'righteous', but ended up with some HR shyt. What next?

BTW, i agree, he must be tried according to the law and hanged, nothing to differ here.

Mr Afridi and his clan insist on carrying on that law ;)

Correction: Countries do not have egos. Powerful people who are unaccountable, however, do.

Semantics. Countries don't take decisions themselves. People with power take them.

Then where is the case to be presented in a proper court governed by Pakistani Law and the punishment if he is indeed found guilty? Why hide behind the FCR?

Nope again. Countries take decision based on national interests. Pakistan takes decisions to serve the interests of the people in power. Big difference!
