Canelo is a bitch. He been ducking GGG and now Khan exposed him. Canelo is still gonna be ducking GGG though. Props to Khan for his massive stones and bringing boxing back to how it's supposed to be.

Exactly.
Who has Canelo fought that is a true middleweight in the top rankings? NO ONE.
From Hatton to Mosley, Trout, Khan among others, all rose from welterweight.
He gets the easy championship matches only because of the corrupt governing bodies who know Canelo draws more Hispanic audiences and PPV views. Like against the aging and way past his prime Cotto where he came in hydrated 20 pounds over him on fight night. Just like now where he wants GGG to drop weight for catch weight even though he will easily outweigh GGG too, that fukcing duck and his team just want an undue advantage over GGG.
He is just a paper champion until he fights GGG, Lemieux, Eubank etc.

He was in wrong location , right in path of "Hey Maker" quite a blinding speed

Hey makers can take out any one , if a lucky punch lands on "side of head" bending the neck , the hit effects your nerve impulses going to your legs which results in immediate collapse

I was hit by a "Ball' soccer ball in game once side of head , immediately lost control over legs and arms and was on ground , after I got up I was confused why did I lost control of my body

If the hit hits directly to face's front the damage can be absorbed (Chin)

dont know much about boxing but bbc report yesterday painted him as underdog... so not bad if he lost.
his success made him pakistani overnight, hopefully he will become more british from now on... lol

:-):-):-)

Like Irish/Scottish boxers /athletes. Irish/Scottish when they lose, and British when they win!

Khan has balls of steel. Taking on the world champion of TWO DIVISIONS above you takes huge guts.

Knock out was always on the cards.

Khan would go down as one of another great Muslim boxing champions along with Ali, Tyson, Prince Nasim etc etc

He is good, but not that good.

Several things here.

I'm sorry but his father who manages him and his trainer i.e. Virgil Hunter should have stopped this fight from happening. I know it was probably Amir due to his headstrong ways, but this was the mother of all bad match-ups. It just wasn't possible for Amir to fight a guy who would outweigh by over a stone, and who is one of the hardest punchers in the game. You can't simply move up the lbs ladder and hope to be the same, it does't happen. I've been there (not boxing), moved up and it took time for my power to build again from what is was.

As for the fight. Yes he did move around and stick him, which did confuse Canelo but he knew deep down he would wilt in the later rounds . No one yet has mentioned how tired Amir looked in the fifth round. He was sucking air folks. When the sixth started, his legs were slow, the movement was gone and he was dropping his hands, which is the greatest cardinal error a trainer tells you never to indulge in, and that's when you first walk into the gym, not when you have been a pro for a decade. Amir did take some solid shots from Canelo, and his chin is ok, just not great. But again his body couldn't take the wear and tear and he succumbed as many had feared.

What now for him? I'm sorry to say this but he should seriously think of a few lesser fights and just finish up. The blow he took had a great deal of force behind it and he was out cold for a couple of minutes. Severe concussions like that finish off what punch resistance a boxer has. There are so many examples of this, one being Roy Jones. I don't want to see him slurring his words, just look at Riddick Bowe, James Toney, Tommy Hearns etc, the latter two I have met in person and I was shocked to see their deterioration. That is no way for once proud and powerful men to live.

As for Canelo, I don't blame him for not having fought the Golovkin. He simply has no answer to the fight that triple G will bring to him. Canelo relies on power and forward movement, something which will have him meet the steel willed and fisted Golovkin head-on, which will result in him following what happened to Khan. He can't outbox him, as Golovkin came from an excellent amateur pedigree, a silver medalist olympian, world champion, who shows true ring craft. What has astounded me is the level of punishment he can take. I've seen shots hit him, when he was unaware and he just walked through them. The man is a beast personified. But hey, it will still be good to see the two meet.

He has done all us proud. No other person of Pakistani extraction (or for that matter our superpower 1.2 billion neighbour India) has gone so high up in one of the most brutal sports there is - boxing. I just want him to retire now for sake of his family. It's not worth suffering the inevitable damage that comes with this sport. Time to call it a day.

Young kids in UK and Pakistan no doubt will be inspired by him to seek glory in the ultimate sport. cricket is for p*ssies. Boxing is for men.

you mean joy, if you go by news?
This is not Bollywood. This is real life and sometimes you lose. When and if anybody from the 1.2 billion pool of Indian's or of Indian extraction achieves half of what Amir Khan has - let us know.

*I mean real life and not some movie.

I question the decision that if you are moving up the weight division why would you not fight 2-3 fights with Medium level opponents why go after the Title holder immediately ?

I did mentioned it. Even commentator were praising khan in earlier rounds as he was technically more sound than canelo and were leading by scorecards until that strong punch knocked him out but i guess his fitness/stamina issue exposed in 6th round which cost him..

I watched the match live from start. Amir khan clearly dominated in first four rounds with his speed and faster movements and was leading by score but then he was looking tired in 6 round while mexcian picked the momemtum and got this one moment he was looking for..so i guess its all about stamina and fitness to stay there until 12 round
