Gen. Tariq Khan, ex Head Pakistan's Central Command and Frontier Corps that defeated Pakistani Taliban (TTP) in a provocative interview with Dr. Moeed Pirzada (Editor GVS) explains how Washington has abandoned its ally India and its proxy Kabul regime in another shift of US politics. But he busts the myth of Afghan invincibility pointing out how both Sikhs under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and British had repeatedly defeated and humbled the rulers of Kabul. Highly informative discussion. Must watch for students of International Relations, Politics and aspirants of competitive exams like CSS, IAS and PAS.

India has had many consulates and embassies in Afghanistan

they were never stamping visas they were collecting intelligence

now with Taliban in power no more attacks will come to Pakistan

they are our people and we will inshallah start this new relationship based on trust and mutual understanding

india + Israel wanted the US to stay in Afghanistan

I see this a great victory for Pakistan

Gen. Tariq Khan is a great tactician

Taliban a CIA creation will work for CIA interest..
Yes, of course. That's why Afghan Taliban are kicking Indian *** in Afghanistan. Earlier CIA also abandoned these filthy Indians and signed a peace deal with Afghan Taliban. So, in that respect, both CIA and Afghan Taliban have shared interests and want to cooperate in killing Indians. CIA brought the enemy (i.e. Indians) tied and exposed in front of Afghan Taliban who are now doing their part.

Agree - the recent uptick in violence in Pakistan is India basically using up her resources to perform these terrorist attacks in Pakistan while it has its terrorist infrastructure available in Afghanistan. That infrastructure will now dimish as it no longer has the patronage of the USA to create and support this terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan.

In the same way that an Army "fires" off ammunition that will be "date expire" before it comes date expired to get some value from that ammunition(ie training of soldiers etc), India is doing the same with its terrorists ..

The violence will come down in time very soon.

Looking at the relatively lukewarm responses to the Taliban victories, I tend to believe Americans have resigned themselves to a major Taliban role in Afghanistan. Indians were always expendable. Until the Indian lobby in America becomes strong like Israel's lobby, India's main utility to Washington was that India is a big market and a good 'partner' to contain China. But the 'Law of Diminishing Returns' have their own ways.

BUT... it is still too early to saw what will Washington do after a few weeks/months as it re-assess developments in Afghanistan. So Tick Tock...

I just hope that a political solution is found where the Talibans are given control of much of the southern portions of Afghanistan to provide a buffer for Pakistan against the Indian machinations while the northern part of Afghanistan be retained with those who don't want to be ruled by the Talibans. A bifurcation of the country. And why not? Biden himself just said that 'Afghanistan has never been a united country'

i think US will not respect any treaty and somehow will manage to use drones over afghanistan for long time . after they windrow they will start drone attacks both for revenge and for keeping taliban in control .

US never married India so when ever US needs India for her satisfaction will send India the flowers and the card written strategic allies. Once using India, US will go about their own business.

Edit: Merged thread, so that's why you'll see this weird explanation lol

Here's an interesting conversation, it follows up on the article written by the General quite recently.

People who like to read history, especially Afghanistan and Pashtoons would find some interesting facts in the interview. Furthermore, the General talks about Taliban takeover, its effect on Pakistan, our own fight against extremism, CPEC, Americans and also Americans abandoning Indians in Afghanistan.

US abandoned everyone when they are not serving their selfish interest anymore. No surprise. For US no one is friend, the only time they are friends means they are up to something Menace.

India knew the US was leaving Afghanistan since Trump was POTUS, so it should not come as a surprise. India even refused to send troops at Trump’s request.

Besides why should US risk its interests to serve India‘s interests in Afghanistan?

Things to realize, India is far beyond Taliban.. Pakistan is in nearby vicinity..

India made mistake, they thought Trump remains in power and they will convince him to provide security to Indians in Afghanistan. Indian should have pulled before US pulled for the safety of their workforce. Plus, if you remember, Trump taunt Modi ... I need your forces, I don't need your library in Kabul
