America Is Headed Toward Collapse/USA in Decline - The Atlantic

. .
You haven't studied history.
'The phrase "the empire on which the sun never sets" (Spanish: el imperio donde nunca se pone el sol) was used to describe certain global empires that were so territorially extensive that it seemed as though it was always daytime in at least one part of its territory.

The concept of an empire ruling all lands where the sun shines dates back to the ancient Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Persians, and Romans. In its modern form, it was first used for the Habsburg Empire of Charles V, who, as Duke of Burgundy, King of Spain, Archduke of Austria, and Holy Roman Emperor, attempted to build a universal monarchy. The term was then used for the Spanish Empire of Philip II of Spain and successors when the empire reached a global territorial size, particularly in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.[1][2][3] It was used for the British Empire, mainly in the 19th and early 20th centuries, a period in which it reached a global territorial size. In the late 20th century, the phrase was sometimes adapted to refer to the global reach of American power.'

Nope, those nations never had a prayer in maintaining their hegemony. The US is a continental sized hyperpower, the wealthiest nation in human history and continues to grow well, at the forefront of science and technology, can project power anywhere on the planet, and is culturally dominant around the globe.

No other nation in history had all the advantages the US possesses today.

Yes, yet you can't make a projection till the end of the universe based on that. Empires fall for other reasons. You have cited wealth, power, culture, science and technology, you forgot humanity and justice. Human nature fights for the underdog.

I wonder what the odds are for the next "America is collapsing thread"

Ray Dalio, the American hedge fund billionaire, recently wrote a book on this topic, suggesting the same. He based the decline on actual stats/evidences and trends/correlations with multiple former empires who went through the same set of events. The book is called The Changing World Order.

Renowned Oxford anthropologist, J.D. Unwin, wrote in his masterpiece book, Sex and Culture, a civilization is destroyed within three generations (~75 years) if sexual immorality becomes normalized. He gave the evidence from 5,000 years of history, studying 89 civilizations, citing not a single one survived beyond three generations. Alduous Huxley, the author of Brave New World, called it 'a work of the highest importance'.

If we take Unwin's words then the US (and the Western world) has about a maximum of 12 - 21 years remaining, considering the sexual revolution in this part of the world began in the 1960's.
