Wake up and smell the coffee, people. American intervention and regime change tactics have been deployed all around the world. The people who refuse to believe U.S. meddling in Pakistani affairs are either living under a rock or are perfectly comfortable sacrificing their sovereignty in exchange for certain benefits acquired by siding with the US hegemonic force.
You conveniently seem to forget that the Americans had a field-day in Pakistan testing and fine-tuning their Predator and Reaper drones in the tribal areas at the expense of our civilian population merely being counted as collateral damage. We are unable to oppose a country as powerful as the U.S., our GDP is almost 10 times smaller than Texas for example, but what we can do and should have done is pursue a policy of balanced relations. The impression (and there is plenty of evidence) is that our past leadership have been catering to U.S. influences. We can never flourish until we manage the fine art of diplomacy and BALANCING these relations rather than selling our country out time and time again only to benefit a few at the top within Pakistan.
The very reason Pakistan is considered a failed state or banana republic is because a strong and united Pakistan is a threat to Anglo American/European ambitions of maintaining a world order in which power is centralized with the aforementioned entities. The recent events have not been very fortunate for Imran Khan and PTI, but at the same time he has, either by sheer will or by chance exposed corrupt elements within our society. We have been governed/ruled for decades by PPP or PML-N in turns. What has that brought us? What on earth has Pakistan achieved these past few decades under their leadership? A wind of change is coming whether you like it or not, Purana Pakistan can be no more, we have no choice but to move forward. The people longing for Imran Khan and his ideals are not mere PTI fanboys mind you, the people including our youth, which is the future of Pakistan, want CHANGE. We have had enough of family politics. We have had enough of corruption.
