hellow sam27, shanghai was divided puxi and pudong by huangpu river, puxi eara is really urban,walk friendly,nice street life ,radomly highrises, pudong eara is business zone, wide street,some supertalls,but less street life. so you mention skydeck, normally in pudong eara, shanghai world finicial center, jinmao tower, east pearl tower. you have to pay some money(20 usd) to to deck, which provide a gorgous view of the whole shanghai skyline. while in puxi, there are also some skydecks,but i forgot the names.
