Airstrikes on a Libyan base destroy a Turkish air defense system

What's that

In one of the Exercise Red Flag, Turkish side (Red or Russian adversary) shot down each American aircraft (Blue) without a single loss. Tango-1 (Turkish F-16) shot down 9 American aircraft's in one sortie and 5 of these were F-15's. Later, the pilot was named Tango - 1 Never Dies.

Rumors say he's Arab.

Not sure if true but Greek pilots also made it number 1 in Red Flag before. And French Rafale beat American F-16's as well.

Although pilots aside, it's commonly agreed upon that the F-15C outmatches the F-16 in long-range air to air combat. By what margin I wouldn't know.

these exercise results are very different from real combat otherwise india su30 also defeated u.s jets during such exercise but during real combat they face clear defeat

According to USAF officials in the late 80's and early 90's the training and ability of Saudi pilots back then was regarded as average/mediocre. USAF AWACS used to guide them a lot during missions and other US military jets were close behind in case assistance was needed. The Saudi F-15 pilot who engaged 2 Iraqi aircraft in 1991 had trouble and required a lot of guidance from the American AWACS crew. Similar to the encounter with Iranian F-4 bombers.

Whether that is still the case today cannot be said as there hasn't been recent air-air combat so the current status of their pilots is either unknown or unproven, they do have high training hours like other NATO air forces.

Only actual combat would provide us the answer.

Not interested in your lame comparison.

It's surprising how Saudi Arabia is very silent on the whole Libya campaign, whilst they have an air force far more capable than any in the region.

Saudis are already using their canon fodders in Egypt to create a bigger mess in the region as usual. As for their personal involvement lets just say they have got their hand full with Houthis for now. It has become clear that they themselves cant do anything so will always using proxies and their fodders in the region.

Saudi Arabia is not interfering much in the region compared to other regional players like Iran and Turkey. Arab states are barely interfering in other Arab states if you compare it to Turkey and Iran.

Egypt was minding its own business, till Erdogan invading Libya their neighbor. The Arab world has no aggressive leaders, if a Saddam was ruling Egypt then Libya would be part of Egypt by now.

Saudis have their got their nose stuck in every single conflict in the region. As for Egypt they have been covertly supporting haftar even before Turkey got involved so nothing can be done about it. Turkey is supporting a UN recognized govt whereas Egypt is supporting a renegade general who inspires to become second Qaddafi rest it is matter of perspective regarding who is right or wrong.

Another Pakistani dancing for Turkey

I just stated hard facts if you cant counter them decently then fcuk off.

UN recognizes countries not governmentes, whoever controls the capital becomes the recognized authority in that recognized country.

Hence, Yemen's capital switched from Sana'a to Aden for political reasons.

That side, F the UN okay. If you knew how many innocent people died due to the UN security council then you'd not quote their illegitimate organisation.

I think that's too simple to conclude.

Their F15 eagles would be unmatched over Libya's airspace, no F16 will manage to deal with it
It is not the F15, it's the driver...In fact you can shift the whole United state arsenal to the Sauds, they will manage to loose any war they will undertake..

This is completely different. They won't fight against barefooted hiding in caves or mountains in Libya. Turkey is fighting PKK militias for around 50 years till now and they couldn't/will not be able to exterminate all of them. Even in Yemen they control its air space, marine harbors and everything. In Libya, they will need only to destroy all the armament given to the terrorists once they get it like what happened in Al-Watiya strike, and LNA will take care of the rest. In case of full intervention, they will easily be able to destroy any hostile air forces.
It is not different..Houthi's missile still fall in Saudi Arabia..and Saudi Arabia military bases are being attacked....successfully..where are their F15, Tornado...etc..etc..etc..

F15 is just another plane...Pilots makes the difference...and there also better planes with a lot better pilotes in the Lybian airspace...
