The act of investing property in foreign country by common citizen is a symptom of how unsafe Pakistan is for such investments.
In itself buying property abroad is not a crime. It becomes a crime when you have levers of national power in your hands. A person who gets 'elected' under no matter how dubious elections have more responsibility than anyone else.
I would also want you to recall that law was passed by this thief nawaz Sharif in 1992 that allowed money to flow out of country without much scrutiny. When you have 'laws' like this in the country then how taking money out of the country to invest is a crime?
This is why in the last decade, its said about $7.5 billion flowed out of the country.
All this was done to help Nawaz Sharif move money out of the country to buy foreign properties. 1992 was the time when he was building the motorway. Its alleged and it should be investigated that by commissioning such high investment construction projects Sharif family made billions in offshore companies.
To all Pakistani friends. Think of this sincerely. Keep the focus on the rulers. Its these people who can change laws. Who can use the influence of the office you give them, a public trust, to benefit themselves and their families.
