It's a token presence and it's enough. Other countries have done the same. It's more diplomatic. Not that it's not a help to the Qataris, even a brigade is great help to them.
Totally irrelevant, but the flags going to Qatar are not the first. There was another similar event in history.
Ofc with some exceptions, but starting from Iraq, to Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and even partially the elements of todays' UAE; Historically, it is possible to talk about a friendship with the Arab tribes and local governments in these regions in accordance with the mutual respect and brotherhood law of Islam. (On the contrary to this, there are bad memories in the regions around Levant-Sham up to Yemen. Moreover, although today's Syria is one of the places where Turks have made their home since the 9th century.)
It is not easy to remember these historical ties, as there was a period of indifference towards the Middle East in Turkey and there was a constant generalization of Arabs, over bad memories (the contribution of the Hollywood effect cannot be underestimated). However, it is truly an honor to see the love of the people of these regions towards the Turks, and the Turks likewise do not remain indifferent to this.
