JALALABAD (PAN): Dozens of Afridi tribe elders, who arrived in eastern Nangarhar province from the Pakistani side of the border, on Sunday urged the Afghan government to help them get rid of injustices they faced in the neighbouring country.

The tribesmen visited the Border and Tribal Affairs Directorate in Jalalabad and sought Afghan government's help in addressing their problems they faced in Pakistan.

Rujat Khan, a tribal elder, from Tera Maidan area of Khyber near the Afghanistan border, said the Pakistani government recognised them as Afghans and thus intimidating them.

“I urge my government (Afghan) to set us free from Pakistan, because we cannot tolerate the injustices the Pakistani government is bent on against our families,” he said.

Yaqoub Khan, another tribal elder, coming all the way from Khyber Agency’s Bara tehsil, told Pajhwok Afghan News around 200 tribal elders from Bara, Jamrud and Terah valley, had arrived in Nangarhar to inform the government about their problems.

He said in Pakistan they pushed to the margins. “We love our homeland Afghanistan and want to be annexed with it.” Several other tribal elders would soon come to Afghanistan to meet President Hamid Karzai and share their concerns with their own president."

Lest see if pakistani media willl pick up the story -- and justify another rebellion in rebellionistan

Pleez no more threads closed down - it's becoming scandalous the number of threads being closed down -- it will run out of steam, they all do - let it run it's course, let people think and say as they think is right and just wait, it will run out of steam by itself.

Sounds like same old Afghan Propaganda. I am just waiting for NATO to depart for the proverbial SH*T to hit the FAN and these Afghans will find out not to mess with Pakistan.

@WebMaster I agree with Aeronaut and i just checked it is afghan news website filled with mostly propaganda so the source is not credible.

Maybe too much trash is being posted?

That's OK, it just goes with being a forum - peruse any subforum, you will see threads with zero posts and they are really good subjects, it's just they for whatever reason, they could not get traction and then there are threads that don't deserve the attention but still get plenty -- it's just the way it is

Given, but desirable level of quality has to be maintained too,no?

I don't think @WebMaster is suggesting the article is true he was just pointing out it is from an Afghan source...

The absolute best thing that can happen to this story is for the Pakistani media to pick it up, especially the TV journalists --- get their photos splashed on every screen, get their interviews -- and then let the chips fall where they may
