Nothing wrong with that demand. Afghans (i.e Pashtuns) have imposed their identity on Tajiks and others while historically word Afghanistan has been used only for Pashtun belt that is Pakhtunkhwa or Roh.....And the same people have demanded that the name of Afghanistan be changed to Khorasan.
Tajiks are the closest people to Pashtuns in South-Central Asia, not only they are racially overlapped but historically they have depended on each other. Tajiks and Pashtuns are the oldest inhabitants of Afghanistan and have been in co-existence since ancient times. Many Tajiks have Pashtun roots while many Pashtun speakers are in fact Tajiks by roots. The Gibari and Dihgaan Tajiks of Swat, Bajaur, Kunar and Nangarhar speak Pashto and are assimilated into Pashtun society. The Burkis of Waziristan and Afghanistan, who have produced figures like Pir Roshan, Jalala etc, are Tajiks by origins. The powerful Farmuli nobles of Lodi empire , who were/are from Farmul region of Ghazni and styled themselves Afghans/Pashtuns, are actually Tajiks. Most importantly Ghilzais and related tribes claim to be descendants of a Tajik prince Shah Hussain Ghori.
