Not gonna happen. Israel is politically unsustainable. Let the US support them. In some decades they will look at it with embarassment, as they do now after the fall of the apartheid in South Africa.
Israel is simply not worth it. Leave it to erode (and it will).

Btw we should not aspire to become the ally of the US or get its approval/support. I could not care less about what they think.
Build normal diplomatic and trade relations sure (alhough that is not gonna happen for a long time) but not a "special relationship".
