A Sri Lankan national lynched in Sialkot by mob of terrorists for blasphemy

. . .
Till now in Pakistan the fight against these wrong interpreters of Islam, these actually anti-Islam militants was in remote places whereas, if I am not wrong, other than TTP all the other such groups found their establishment or existence in the cities right from Zia's time and even before. Syria has had this situation in the from the mid 1970s to the 1980s where the Western-government-sponsored Muslim Brotherhood criminals based themselves especially in Hama city and the Syrian forces defeated them.
There had been fractions/fault lines between Muslims and Hindus, and within Muslims too. Things are stirred up time to time but under Zia, somewhat extremeism got patronage. However, he had its control and after Zia things got worse.
Establishment (military+bureaucracy) still plays divide and rule for 'national' interests or to keep status quo.
Like 85 elections and NS. Or MQM formation against Jamat-i-Islami. Or IJI formation in 92. State thinks that they can control these stooges for their gains but these people, who are corrupt since begining, get power and turn against their masters for self-gains. Like OBL was launched by CIA & Co but once he consolidated his power he steered/astrayed to his own path. It is a cycle.

So supermacy of law should hold. If i am a minister and install a corrupt cop for my interests, that cop will do 2-3 extra things for his own corruption. I will save him using loopholes and he will be familirised with it and a cult is born. Even I am gone, the cycle will continue and corrupts keep begetting the corrupt. Overall, garbage in so garbage out.
In my opinion Pakistan should put Musharraf and Gen. Tariq together in appropriate roles to guide the security forces and remove the cancers once and for all. Pakistanis have progressive people like the young Arooj Aurangzeb ( the Leather jacket girl ). She draws inspiration from Faiz and others. Put such people in leadership.
I don't like Musharraf as he waivered corruption cases (NRO) for his power. Also, we can't install leaders so no Urooj Aurengzeb. If only I can install someone, it wd Air Marshall Asghar Khan and Sajjad Haider.

Another misuse of the blasphemy law will take place sooner and I don't need a crystal ball for that

When governments whisk away Genda and Bhensa in stark darkness and not apply the law, it will happen again for sure.

The cancer of TLP is FOREIGN SPONSORED - but the idiotic, illiterates Awam doesn't know this because buying plots and eating their freaking birayani is more important to them. Their IQ levels are no better than that of a street frog. But the more worrying aspect is that people who KNOW who exactly is TLP like the Pakistan's military establishment, they are too busy with other stuff. Pathetic and Shameless.

Can you please reply to my points about India in this post ?

Maybe. :)

Well, I find it tragic that Muslims who are most at front of violent protests against perceived insults to Prophet Muhammad and to Islam never protested against the Western governments initiating regime-change operations against Iraq, Libya and Syria. In fact these particular Muslims were part of the Western governments operations against these Muslim-majority countries.

But don't you think many Muslims live the stereotyped life of the Muslim that these far-right groups vent against ? :)

True. So the blasphemy law if it remains should be changed so that anyone accused of that and anyone accusing that should be put together for a public debate. No mob should be allowed any part of this.

1. If you call him "colonial governor" then you should call the entire Anglo-derived political system of Pakistan as colonial too. You should be therefore speaking of true democracy for Pakistan. Please read this thread of mine on how that can come for Pakistan, for India and for everywhere else.

2. Again you are justifying his assassination.

And did he rail against such acts and such criminals before his ban ?
2002 before the invasion of Iraq protests occured including muslims under the banner 'no blood for oil' in many western nations.
However Arab governments are not in line with their citizens.
Libya was a tragedy as Libyans lived in mich better country notions under Ghaddafi and Bashar Al Asad is still in power.Farvright groups are angry with their own governments hence they too need to release their frustration and muslims are the targets.
Islam is blamed becuase poor John cannot find work.

Musharaf was right all along. Time for a dose of enlightened moderation

View attachment 798793

This is the problem. Instead of trying to actually address the issue properly and intelligently, we get reactionary stuff like this meant to provoke a reaction.

The crowd that does this sort of thing is not going to listen to enlightened moderation crowd. Instead of trying address the problem in a way that solves this - we get this.

The problem is based in religious misunderstanding and unfortunately, the people in charge seemto lack any significant understanding of the religion and so we get these strange attempts at solving the problems.

These things not only are not effective but also, imho, are counter productive. The segment of the society that is producing this sort of crowd needs to be addressed. Not the DHA LUMS group.

The narrative of ishq e rasool when being misused for personal gains cannot be countered through non-religious counter narratives.

Unfortunately, Zaid can't give what Zaid doesn't have. So instead we get enlightened moderation.

What's wrong with Pakistanis.

I have a question for progressive Pakistanis.

Can these religious bigots be fought using religion, like Govt takes this case as priority.
1)find the guilty quick.
2)runs the case in court on a fast track.
3)hangs him
4)declares the guilty person not Muslim as he did not follow Islam.
5)doesn't allow Islamic burial.
6)doesn't allow the whole thing to die down, this should be highlighted in print ,TV, social media and make sure everyone remembers for a long time that the person who did it was thrown out of Islam and no Islamic burial received..
Well not allowing a islamic burial and declaring someone non Muslim itself is not Islamic doesn't matter how guilty the offender is.

Millions of Muslims are living in peace in the European countries without any Blasphemy laws.

Why are these blasphemy laws needed in the Islamic countries?

Exactly! Its ridiculous to even think that Islam has any danger in a country where 99% population is muslim. Who can even dare to do blashphemy at first place when its such conservative society with tendency towards violence. Those laws are only used against weak helpless minorities. Murderers who take life out of another human have actually nothing to do with islam or prophets. Its extreme insanity that islam for such f**ktards is only limited to blasphemy or women clothes. If its about islam then these mobs should go after murderers or child rapists. But most likely they themselves are child rapists / murderers thats why their mind only works in killing and violence. They don't see anything else. Blasphemy laws are man made laws, most of society who even thinks these need to changed does not speak on it because of the fear of such monsters living in the society. But its time, everyone needs to speak on this openly.

THese puppets sometimes do stupid things just like this lynching but are often overlooked.
They have overplayed their hand this time. Only reason there is a strong reaction because they have murdered a foreigner and everyone is fearing a backlash at the diplomatic level. Even TLP has distanced itself from this incident.

Had a Pakistani been killed this thread would have died in under ten pages and most people who would have condemned the lynching would have been trolled by the usual TLP sympathisers
