A Sri Lankan national lynched in Sialkot by mob of terrorists for blasphemy

No chance as all sections of pak including army and police have been infested with religious extremism.
Any wrong move would trigger a civil war in pakistan...the only solution is development and education.
A society devoid of education and development is a good breeding ground for religious extremism.
All hail Modi then.
Meanwhile say hi to another of your Nobel peace prize winner.

1. What the did liberals say in context of Taseer ? I really don't know this.

2. About Qadri being declared insane, well, IIRC there are pictures of him looking proud when being taken into custodial vehicles and surrounded by admirers. Then those admirers should also have been declared insane. :)

3. Similarly, in the Sri Lankan's lynching case, not only the did the two main criminals appear proudly because the media there was an entire mob which participated in the lynching. All of them should be declared insane then. In that case I agree with you that such acts should be legally declared acts of insanity.
People have been emotionally damaged from 2010. During the same decade countless insults were directed towards the noble Prophet pbuh.
Denmark and France had staged a competition to draw cartoons mocking the Prophet, a disgusting comedy show was released on YouTube mocking the entire generation of the Prophet.
Protests had erupted in western nations condemning and abusing the Prophet.
I have witnessed this as far right extremist groups chanted vile abusive remarks against my faith.
People in Pakistan became blinded with hate anger, disgust and went forth to unleash their frustration on any minority suspected of indulging in any forms of blasphemy. Which itself is a huge miscarriage of justice.

Can you please reply to my points about India in this post ?

Government agar murder ki reason na batati to kisi ko nhi pta tha. Aysay issues par politics nhi krni chahiye murder hua tha murderer ko phansi hogayi baat khatam

Maybe. :)

Well, I find it tragic that Muslims who are most at front of violent protests against perceived insults to Prophet Muhammad and to Islam never protested against the Western governments initiating regime-change operations against Iraq, Libya and Syria. In fact these particular Muslims were part of the Western governments operations against these Muslim-majority countries.

I have witnessed this as far right extremist groups chanted vile abusive remarks against my faith.

But don't you think many Muslims live the stereotyped life of the Muslim that these far-right groups vent against ? :)

Nonetheless the blasphemy law has been abused and targetted innocent people.

True. So the blasphemy law if it remains should be changed so that anyone accused of that and anyone accusing that should be put together for a public debate. No mob should be allowed any part of this.

I still stand by my statement. Had the colonial governor not sipped whiskey and made fun of people's feeling and sensitivities, he would still be leaching off the state.

1. If you call him "colonial governor" then you should call the entire Anglo-derived political system of Pakistan as colonial too. You should be therefore speaking of true democracy for Pakistan. Please read this thread of mine on how that can come for Pakistan, for India and for everywhere else.

2. Again you are justifying his assassination.

He is banned.

And did he rail against such acts and such criminals before his ban ?

I 100% agree with it, seriously
This'll serve as a determace, big reason I like guns

I said the same and my post was deleted, it was Kumar's own fault, he should have knowledge in which in-country he lives, a 9mm gun would have made a big difference!

1. I have routinely called out against colonial elements in the current political structure and constitutional issues stemming from colonial history. No i am not interested in a Madrasis itch for revolutions thousands of kms away.

2. It's not justification. It is assessment. These people get drunk then get drunk on power and then masquerade as Firoun and Nimrods. It will surely happen again. They are too detached from society and her realities. Crime of passion happens everywhere. Taseer pushed Qadri over the edge.

That is his freedom of choice. I explained his absence from this thread.

. . .
What is the difference between the actions of the "colonial governor" and the Sri Lankan who died yesterday?

One was killed by a mob which got organized for personal gains.

The other reveled in provocation and dehumanising his own subjects which pushed his subject bodyguard over the edge.

. . . .
A serious question here

Let's say a foreigners visits Pakistan

Some idiot on the street misunderstands him and starts accusing him of blasphemy

A crowd gathers

What will be the likely outcome?

Hire guards. If I ever go back I will take a convoy. They can have a taste of my sub machine gun.

.
You're singing a different tune because the victim was a foreigner. Had he been a Pakistani you would have been defending the lynch mob

Why don't you ask your crystal ball when there will be a thread for acid attack victims in Sindh?

You are never coming back.

.
This is miscconception

No selfdefence= more innocent getting killed by radical Islamic mobs!
With a handgun he would have dispatched at max 9-15 lynchers. They mob would have called in reinforcements and burned down everything even if he had taken refuge in the Sri Lankan embassy
