I wish I could share derelict mosques belonging to the abandoned villages in Pakistan. this was something strange for me. what I mean is, due to the partition if the Hindu communities moved out of an area then there wont be any temples left.
I guess you will find it hard to find a mosque or a shrine in places like say Jalindhar or Gurdaspur that saw some big scale culling of the Muslim migrants due to the way the boundaries were drawn. you might prove me wrong by showing some mosques or shrines there but I mentioned those names as a reference.
what you have shared with us is depressing IF, there was a sizeable Hindu community present or if a Temple of very historical significance was converted to something else or raised.
BUT , having said that, I have seen abandoned Temples during visit in Pakistani Kashmir which belonged to former Hindu villages that were abandoned and now only the main structure or the tomb stands in the wilderness.
expecting a corrupt and incompetent Pakistani administration to look after the temples is a hopeless case when it cant even look after roads, schools and hospitals.
by the way, I am in no way down playing the desecration or deliberate destruction of places of worship
