oh my god, look at this thread! people are debating over whether to thank or not! for god's sake, thanks is not something to be asked for, its something to be given sincerely.

As for the kid getting treated, well its good for him, and good for the hospital, but doesnt change much in the context of Indo-Pak relations.

A child's life was saved. lets not bring politics into it.

:) why dont you ask your bharti members not to play health politics here.

Its simple case of service and demand simple as that nothing to be going gaga over it.

We pay you against services so whats there to demand for a thanks on the forum ????????

Health Tourism Marks Rise in Asia | TopNews United Kingdom
Submitted by Rasik Sharma on Fri, 10/22/2010 - 13:09

As per the recent figures, medical tourism is marking an unceasing rise in the Asian countries, particularly in countries as India, Thailand and Singapore.

Besides, being discerned as a good location for medical treatments, a majority of treatments offered in these countries are less expensive. However, apart from cost, the overall services being offered, and its quality is claimed to serve as two major factors responsible for luring foreign visitors from all over the world for medical treatments.

In addition, the money yield from it is diverted towards boosting the betterment of the employees who work in the health services.

According to the report by RNCOS published recently the net Asian health tourism industry is estimated to mark a rise at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of over 17 % during 2010-12.

The overall services being offered, and its quality is claimed to serve as two major factors responsible for luring foreign visitors from all over the world for medical treatments.

It is claimed that other countries including Malaysia, the Philippines, and South Korea have initiated to improve and reinforce their healthcare scenario in a bid to attract medical tourism.

Medical tourism could add to over £3 billion to the Indian economy on the annual basis, the BBC claimed.

However, I guess some westerners still need to be better informed that medical treatments are not that far inferior as compared to the west.

I cannot put in the URL Link, but you can search for 'Glenn Beck smears India for lack of "flush toilets" and says Ganges River "sounds like a disease" ' under Google.

It will be sad and unfortunate to know if many westerners holds the same view.

1. Any country would have treated her if they crashed landed in emergency. Dint you see aircraft do make emergency landing when there is SOME serious case with the passengers.

2. You treated him for money simple as that. we get such treatment by paying to doctors in west too NOT a sainty thing you did so stop being desparado here for scoring points.

3. There are many people in India poor ones dying due to lack of treatment why you do not provide this compassion to them ???

The bottom line is again that its health tourism NOT compassion.

Its like business class in an aircraft where hostess come to you after every minute to check your comfort level because you have paid a heavy fare whereas in economy class you are treated as we treat patients in many Govt run cheap pathetic hospitals both in India and Pakistan.

Jana, you lost your mind.. How are you comparing India to West. I didn't know West became your sworn enemy over night.

OP may be silly to open this thread.. But your anti-india rants is just idiotic.
