The failed state index is the most pointless index ever. Basically, every white country is stable or moderate, and every nonwhite country is not. China ranks along Swaziland, and yet it is the U.S that triggered the global crisis. Iceland is bankrupt, yet ranks so high. This is nothing more than a racist ranking.

No! How is ISRAEL a failed state? It produces some really advanced medical and military tech, has a stable economy, good education, health care, a "democratic" government...

Same for Egypt (has a stable economy)

Same for Philippines - Strong economy, well developed IT sector, in 2008 the country saw a 38% Growth in Philippines IT Sector.

Colombia - Just look at the economic growth and the increase in per capita income from 2008 - to present. Look at the reforms in governance? Increased domestic security..

Pakistan - Well i was expecting Pakistan to be on that list, despite this numerous reports proving Pakistan is anything but a failed state.

There indicators and analysis of what qualifies a "failed" state are just nonsense.
