Dont take any threat as a joke. If on 25/11/2008 some LeT commander said they were going to send men by sea to attack Mumbai and terrorise India, we would have laughed. and yet, it happened, and we were left shocked.

As for TTP, they are busy with Pakistan now, but we all know that one day USA will leave Afghanistan. And then the TTP will stop fighting Pak Army. So we need to make sure we are prepared to deal with all the nut jobs who want to attack us.

India does not have 3 millions IA soldiers. I think you are adding paramilitary ones also. Also there is no report of India having 300 N-weapons.

Whether this report is true or not it is a known rumor that during the 2008 tensions the TTP completely changed its line like before, and ceased hostilities and offered to 'defend' the western flank along with the Afghan Talib's. Basically offering to keep the Afghan Army and its attempts to breach the Durand line in check and in some part form a policing force for thieves and kidnappers in the FATA region.
Thankfully, the PA did not just say no...they said "HELL NO!".
But do take the 3000 figure seriously, 3000 stealthy guided weapons with a long loiter time.. Not even the Americans can boast of something like that.

You're right. I included every single Indian whether army or paramilitary plus reserves that amounts to roughly 3.2 million. There are estimates of our nuclear warheads from 40-400 differing opinions according to various think tanks. I just chose a middle option.
