I noticed that too. It seem they usually have multi launches for a ship. India's indigenous aircraft carrier has 3 launch ceremonies already, but it won't be ready for sea trail until 2023 earliest. Maybe due to facility constrain at the port.

Why is it always launch without bridge?

It's because of lack of infrastructure. As soon as the hull is completed, the ship is launched so that the bay can be utilised for keel laying and assembly of the next ship. Bridge can be integrated off the dock.

17 sep 2016: 2nd ship
about 1.5 year for launching a next destroyer. pretty impressive for indian standard time. kolkata took 3 -4 year for next ship of its class

Also INS Chennai of kolkata class is to be commissioned in 3rd quater of 2016.

Yea all thanks to Modular construction being adopted across most shipyards. Our shipbuilding was in fact really slow in the past, I hope we improve further and churn out ships faster like China. The current infrastructure developments across all yards is a step in the right direction. Past 2020, we will see a major pace difference at which we will complete ships.

INS Chennai is expected on the 4th quarter this year.

INS Vishakpatnam is expected to be commissioned by early 2018 and the last in class to be delivered by 2022-24.

AFAIK we haven't started modular construction yet. Nor i have seen any one talking about modular construction in vishakha. Alhogh one poster above quoted it to be modular @R!CK

Ya, they don't look like Modular construction.
